I keep getting calls from these folks, not just on my landline but on my mobile too, and they ring quite a few times each day. What annoys me the most is they don’t stop even late at night and on weekends. It’s pretty frustrating!

I’m dealing with this exact issue too. When I called the number back, someone actually picked up. My advice is for everyone to keep calling them repeatedly - maybe then they’ll understand what’s going on.

This number has been nonstop blowing up my phone. They keep calling and when I answer, they just say "Hello, hello" and don’t actually talk until I end the call. It’s really getting on my nerves, especially since they ring as late as 9 at night. I’m proper fed up with it. I tried going through the TPS, but they said it’s fine because it’s marketing, not direct sales, so nothing can be done.

So, I found out these lot go by MQR and seem to be in London, but when you ask for any real info about them, they just get all dodgy and cut the call. Anyone got ideas on how to block or stop them ringing me?

I’d say the one word that sums them up is 'persistent' - and annoying too, always ringing at the worst possible moments! They seem to call me almost daily now, so I’ve just started ignoring the calls altogether.

I got two calls today from a London number. The first was around 3.30pm but they hung up after a few rings. Then at about 7.15pm they called again, and picked up this time. They already knew my name which threw me off. When I asked who they were and how they got my number, they said they were English and doing a survey about the upcoming election, claiming they got my details from some ‘Database’. I didn’t catch everything because I cut them off, telling them they shouldn’t have my info since I’m on the Telephone Preference Service list - total waste of time. I ended the call there. Those calls supposedly came from a place near Mayfair in London, based on the info linked to that number.
