I didn't waste any time and blocked this number straight after the initial call. Yet, I've just noticed they’ve attempted to ring me again a couple of times within the last day. They seem to enjoy leaving a ridiculously brief voicemail of just one second, which then clutters up my inbox, forcing me to sift through and delete it myself. I've never picked up the phone, but it’s quite irritating that they feel it’s acceptable to drop these tiny voicemails, making me go through the hassle of clearing them out.

Fingers crossed this puts an end to their incessant calls, as they seem to have a knack for ringing me at eight in the morning and then hounding me two more times throughout the day! 08 02 17: Received a call from Scottish Power claiming they could provide me with a “superior deal” on my utilities. When I probed further, the person on the other end insisted they had my mobile number from an online survey I supposedly filled out. To be frank, I’ve never participated in any such survey. It’s clear this is one of those cold-calling call centres, and the agents are just reading from a pre-prepared script that includes this far-fetched story about the survey for deflecting any tricky questions regarding the source of my personal information.
