I received a call on my mobile from a woman who had a distinctly foreign accent, reminiscent of the Far East. She claimed she was returning my call. Absolute nonsense, as I rarely use my mobile for voice calls. I pressed her for her identity and the name of her company, as well as the purpose of her call. Instead of providing any details, she merely kept insisting that I had reached out to her. It’s evident that this is nothing but a scam. There was quite a bit of chatter in the background, leading me to imagine a room full of similar tricksters rifling through a list of scams for the day, eager to see who they could ensnare. Honestly, why don’t these individuals seek honest work instead?

Got a call from unicef after i gave £3 once cause of a TV advert. The ad said its a one off thing and they wouldnt be phoning or texting me. But ive had texts asking me to start monthly payments and ive had calls too. Def not giving to them anymore. If i wanted to do monthly, i would’ve sorted it myself. I reached out to Orange by dialling 150, and they assured me that they never make outbound calls, confirming that it's definitely a third-party outfit trying to swindle you. I strongly advise against upgrading through this company; they’re not affiliated with Orange, and you'll forfeit any insurance or discounts you're currently benefitting from directly with them. I fell into that trap a few years back, and when I reached out to Orange, they sorted out my contract for me, warning me to steer clear of third-party providers. They tend to push you into pricier contracts that don’t align with your needs, so it’s best to stick with Orange directly.
