This number called me and I didn’t pick up at first cause I usually ignore unknown calls, but every now and then I answer just to check if it’s something urgent. So many folks don’t have caller ID or still answer every call just in case it’s important. It’s really sad that some people feel okay bothering others like this. So it was Octopus Energy ringing me. When I asked where they got my info from, they actually explained straight up that I must’ve agreed at some point to get calls from energy firms - probably by mistake clicking something on a price comparison site. They even told me to get in touch with TPS to stop this happening again. At least they didn’t keep pushing me to buy their stuff!
