Got a call from an Indian guy claiming there was some suspicious activity on my Amazon Prime account. He said they’d refund me if I helped them out. I knew straight away it was a scam, probably someone working from India trying to rip me off. I told him I don’t even have Amazon Prime anymore; used to, but not now. Feels like some Amazon staff in India might be selling account info to scammers back home who then target loads of people. I’ve blocked the number now.

Got a call yesterday claiming my Amazon account was used to buy a phone costing more than £1000, said they put a hold on it because it looked dodgy, and asked me to press 1 or 2 to confirm if it was me. I didn’t press anything, just hung up and contacted Amazon directly. They said there was no such purchase on my account. Got another call from the same number this morning at 7.39 but ignored it. I've received yet another call regarding my National Insurance number, claiming I'm on the verge of being arrested. This is the second time this nonsense has happened; the first time they rang me from a mobile. I've gone ahead and alerted the police fraud team about it.
