I received an automated call that didn’t have any audio. It was rather odd!

I received a rather dubious call from someone who asserted that my computer had been compromised. This individual requested remote access to 'resolve' the issue, all the while masquerading as a technician from Microsoft. Please, be cautious!

This person claimed to be from Microsoft and asked me to sign onto my computer. I told them I was heading out and I didn’t buy any of it. Then they started threatening me, saying I wouldn’t be able to use Microsoft and that they'd block me. I’m 75 years old and really hope other older women don’t fall for this sort of scam.

I got a call from 020 34687440 on 10/08/20 but my phone was on silent so it just showed as a missed call. They didn’t leave any voicemail or try ringing me again, which I find weird because legit callers usually leave messages or ring back. So yeah, I blocked the number. Then on 12/08/20, another call came from 020 34687441, same thing - silent phone, no message, no follow up call. I blocked that one too.
