this number rings me up daily. I never pick up if I dont know who's calling and since they never leave a voicemail, I gotta think it's dodgy!

I received a rather dubious call from a lady trying to sell me an extended warranty for my ancient 15-year-old Voja, and it raised all sorts of alarms for me. After doing some digging, it seems this was nothing but a scam! I'm quite relieved that I didn’t get roped into that arrangement over the phone!

I received a phone call from an individual with a noticeable foreign accent who initially spoke to me before passing me on to his supervisor. Almost immediately, a rather overbearing gentleman took over the conversation. He was relentless in his attempts to extract the expiry date of my bank card, claiming it was necessary to arrange a service for my British Gas boiler, which, by the way, isn’t due for another five months. I noted that due to the ongoing pandemic, there’s quite a delay in services. Interestingly, I recognised the same woman’s voice in the background from the first call; it seemed as though she was making the same background sounds during both conversations. To top it all off, this rather insistent chap rang me up again!

If you ever pick up when one of these numbers calls, just let them talk for a bit and then say they’re being recorded or watched. Trust me, they won’t bother you a second time 😉

I've asked this woman over and over to quit ringing me, but the calls just keep coming. She switches up the extensions all the time, so blocking isn't working anymore since I've already blocked one number before.

Got a call from the same bloke today, 3rd April 2021, the one who rang yesterday about renewing my boiler warranty that supposedly expired. I told him once more I’ve got no warranty on my boiler, called him a proper scammer, and then ended the call.

One of our clients got a call from someone pretending to offer a boiler service, trying to scam them for money. Fortunately, the customer rang us first to verify and even used 1471 to see the caller’s number. We actually did their boiler service back in October. Total fraud, be careful!

On 2nd December 2021, I got a call from an Asian guy asking for me and saying it was time to renew my boiler warranty. I told him I don’t have any warranty on my boiler, then I called him a scammer and ended the call. I’d say this was pretty dodgy and risky.

Got a call from some bloke claiming to be from the bank, asking for my name and bank info. I said, "Asif Patel," and he got really annoyed, saying that wasn't a Muslim name. Just then, I glanced at an old Indian takeaway menu nearby and quickly told him, "Actually, it's Raj Duth!"

This number rang me up around 3:17pm and some bloke named Jesse was on the line. Like others have said, he was trying to get me to renew some kind of heating boiler cover. I’m never one to deal with cold calls like that, especially when I don’t know them. Luckily, I’ve got a mate who’s a gas and central heating engineer, so he sorts all that out for me.

I received a call from a chap who inquired about my name and house number, then began prattling on about boiler servicing. Upon informing him that I had already taken care of it, he abruptly passed the phone to a woman. When I labelled them as scammers, she swiftly hung up. Quite the dodgy setup, if you ask me!

A bloke with a thick accent called me, started off all polite with "how you doing ma'am". He was on about some expired insurance on my boiler. Trouble is, the address he mentioned isn't where I live at all - I moved ages ago, about 5 years back. As soon as I said that, he just cut the call!

I got a call on 02034685603 from a young lady saying her name was Kelly. She told my 84-year-old mum that her boiler was due for a service. Sadly, mum gave them her bank details. They only managed to take £25, but when we spoke to the bank, they said since mum gave the details willingly, it’s not technically considered fraud. We’ve gone ahead and cancelled all her bank cards now.

As noted previously, he asserted that he managed servicing for various companies. However, we have an existing maintenance agreement for our boiler, and they consistently send us written correspondence. This clearly was an unsolicited call. He seemed utterly uninformed about our appliance's specifics. Just before I ended the conversation, I informed him that this was indeed a cold call. Clearly, this individual disregards the regulations set by the telephone preference service.

Recently, I received a rather peculiar phone call from a chap who seemed to know my name and my home number. Curiously, he didn't mention my late husband, who passed away due to Covid back in February, implying he had relatively current information. He proceeded to chat about my boiler installation, and I made it clear that I suspected the call was a scam. At that point, he abruptly hung up on me. Ironically, I was just waiting for the engineer to come and service the boiler today. It’s rather intriguing how these coincidences pop up with these sorts of calls!

Another one trying to scam me, same old story. This bloke called about renewing my boiler insurance, but first he asked for my birthdate and bank details. He already had my name and address though. Then he even tried to get the last three numbers on my card! I told him I never use cards, only cheques, and he seemed to want to hang up quick as soon as he heard that. Hilarious stuff, honestly. Received a call about my boiler warranty. I ended it straight away and blocked the number, though I'm sure they'll ring back from another one soon.

It seems the individual on the other end was having a go at me. He claimed our boiler's warranty had expired, which is indeed correct, but it's been out of warranty for yonks-since my son installed it back in 2011, and he's the one who takes care of any upkeep. I suspect he either wanted to peddle a warranty or was just fishing for my information. In any case, best to keep personal details to oneself when speaking over the phone.
