I had an Amazon order with a note to leave the package in a particular spot if I wasn’t around. When I got back after a few days, I found the parcel sitting right outside the front door, on full display where anyone walking past could see it. I called Amazon to raise the issue, and they said sorry and promised it wouldn't occur again. Later, I received a call and a voicemail asking when I’d be back, but I didn’t bother replying as I thought it might be some kind of scam.

I asked Amazon to ring me back about a refund I was waiting on. They used this number and then had me punch in a 3-digit code to connect with their support team. Eventually, I got help and sorted the problem, but I ended up being billed for a premium call that cost way more than the refund itself!!!

I got a ring from what turned out to be Amazon returning my request. They’re supposed to only phone you if you’ve asked for a callback, otherwise they’d just send an email. So if you didn’t ask for one, it might be someone pretending to be them using a spoofed number. Best thing to do is just hang up and get in touch with Amazon yourself to be safe.

If this really is Amazon customer support, it’s pretty rubbish. I called about a £77.64 charge showing on my bank but when she asked for the last four digits of my debit card, I didn’t want to share that info and she just ended the call. Since then, nobody’s gotten back to me and I’m left with the issue unresolved. The whole service feels hopeless. There’s no email to write to either, and I’m not touching their chat thing since it’s all automated and no real person to talk to. Proper bad experience.

I got a call supposedly from my bank about a payment for stuff I never bought. She asked me for the last 4 digits of my card that was used, but I refused to share them, thinking she could check my query without that info and being suspicious it might be a scam. Then, the call just ended abruptly from her side. I ended up cancelling the card they had on file and shutting down my account. If this is how they treat customers, it’s pretty shocking.

I haven’t bought anything from Amazon recently but I got a couple of missed calls yesterday and some voicemails that didn’t really add up. Then today, I picked up and a recorded message said it was from Amazon’s driver support. Feels like a total scam to me. Amazon’s never rung me before, so I’m just going to block the number and ignore it.

I got a call and they told me to punch in a code if I wanted to chat with customer service, but when I answered they still asked what I was calling about - even though they rang me first! I ended up blocking the number, but they left me three voicemails, all with the same robotic message. If this was really Amazon, it's pretty poor form to leave a voicemail telling you to press three digits to get help, when the message makes it clear you can't actually do that. Very unprofessional if you ask me.

This was definitely a scam. I’ve never asked for any help or a call from Amazon at all. If that number is really linked to Amazon, then it’s got to be someone faking it to sound like them. Could be those positive reviews are fake too, made by the same people. I just ignored the call and blocked the number straight away.

Check out my previous post... got a call around 10.30pm from what claimed to be Amazon Customer Support! Then they sent me an email apologising for missing me, saying they were meant to ring me last Monday evening at 6.30 when I got home from work, to update me about a complaint I'd filed. Honestly, the call was so late and the issue is all sorted now, I had totally forgotten they planned to call. But who the heck calls four days late, smack in the middle of the night??? Still relieved I didn't pick up!

I only pick up calls from people whose numbers I have saved in my contacts. If I get a call from an unknown number, I just let it ring unless I’m expecting an important call from a legit company. Cold calling’s actually illegal nowadays, and firms can get hefty fines if they break the rules. The whole point is to stop scammers, so if some random person’s ringing you out of the blue, you can bet it’s a scam for sure.
