I got a call from a number, and the voice said it was HMRC, saying there was some kind of court order against me. It was a recorded message though, and the strange bit was the accent - sounded American, not British at all. Then they asked me to ring a different number. Seemed dodgy to me.

total scam alert. i got a voicemail from someone with an american accent, said they were from the local county court and wanted me to ring back. apparently loads of others have got calls from a different number but same message. looks like these are just two numbers they keep swapping between. also, like others have mentioned, the number they left out for returning the call always misses the leading zero. sketchy as hell.
