02034577188 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 02034577188 👆 is reported as a persistent and aggressive scam operation impersonating Microsoft, often featuring callers with Asian or Indian accents. They falsely claim users’ computers have been hacked or contain viruses, pressuring victims to grant remote access or install software. Many report repeated calls daily, hostile behaviour, abusive language when challenged, and attempts to intimidate. Victims frequently note no messages left on answerphones and silent calls. Several accounts describe calls to vulnerable individuals, including the elderly, causing distress. The callers may demonstrate knowledge of personal details, but their legitimacy is repeatedly denied. Users strongly advise not to engage, never to provide information, and to block the number. Authorities are urged to intervene more decisively, though reporting via action fraud is recommended to help combat this ongoing nuisance.

I've been receiving calls every weekend for what feels like an eternity, and they leave these long, silence-filled voicemails that gobble up my answer machine’s space. A few times, I’ve managed to pick up, only to be met by someone with a thick Asian accent that’s quite difficult to decipher. This caller insists he’s from McFee antivirus and keeps pushing their software, despite me repeatedly telling him that I’m on Windows S mode, which won’t allow for his product to be installed. In fact, he even had the audacity to suggest that I take my child's school laptop out of that safe mode, so I could install this antivirus nonsense he’s peddling. It’s like he doesn’t comprehend the meaning of “no” or “please don’t call me again.”

Over the past day, I’ve gotten three calls from different numbers, all linked to 02034577188, which seems to be involved in some Microsoft scam. Every time I pick up it’s dead silent or they hang up once my answerphone kicks in. Definitely dodgy calls!

I got a call from a guy called 'Peter', sounded Indian, claiming he was from Microsoft. He said I hadn’t replied to some security alerts and that hackers might’ve been messing with my computer. He started going on about what they were doing with my info, but I lost interest when he asked me to hit the Windows key and R or something like that.

Got a call from a lady speaking with a thick Asian accent; I couldn't quite catch her name, maybe something like Chrissy or Chandra. She claimed my computer had suspicious activity and that hackers were accessing it - apparently from places like China and Russia. She insisted I install TeamViewer so they could demonstrate the hacking live. Honestly, it sounded ridiculous and obviously a scam. Definitely not anyone from Microsoft, those folks are just trying to trick you.

On 30th September 2021, I got a call from 02034577188 claiming to help with Microsoft issues. Given how many people seem to be getting calls from that same number, I wonder why the authorities haven’t stepped in to shut it down. If all they do is watch these calls without actually looking into them, how can anyone believe these problems will ever be fixed?

I didn’t bother picking up as the number wasn’t familiar to me. Judging by the remarks left by others, I’m pretty pleased I gave it a miss. Can you believe this is the 120th dodgy call I’ve had this year? These scammers are an absolute nuisance!

This number, 02034577188, has rung me a couple of times today. I ignored the calls since I didn't know the number. It’s pretty clear it’s a scam, especially as they never bother to leave a voicemail. If it was something important, they’d surely leave a message, right? Seriously, why don’t these people just find a legitimate job instead of pestering everyone?

Classic Microsoft scam alert! They kept calling pretending to be from the 'Microsoft Technical Support'. Got quite rude and aggressive when I didn’t play along. Got a call from someone pretending to be Microsoft, but the English was terrible! Why on earth does BT let these scammers keep ringing up? It’s really annoying!

I received several persistent phone calls from this number, and after I hung up, the caller continued to ring me without respite. The individual on the other end was quite rude and seemed quite intimidating. I informed him that his call was a scam, yet he refused to relent and kept questioning how I came to that conclusion. In the end, I simply chose to ignore the calls altogether.

What a joke, this Microsoft scammer! I wasn’t too polite to the Asian woman on the phone, and lets just say she wasn’t too happy about what I said! Ha!

Got a call from someone called 'Harry' trying to tell me there was a problem with my PC or Microsoft access, which was rubbish. Told him I wasn’t having it and hung up. Then he called back, I told him to stop bothering me and that I wasn’t interested. He phoned me 4 more times after that but I didn’t pick up. Honestly feels like proper harassment.

Got a call from someone saying they were from Microsoft, telling me my computer had issues. I told them I only use Apple devices, but they kept going on saying they were Microsoft. When I kept saying it’s just Apple here, they finally ended the call. What freaked me out was they already had my name and address - that’s pretty scary, especially for anyone who might be more vulnerable.

Got a call from this number where the guy claimed he was with “Microsoft” and was ringing about our computer. I told him we don’t have a computer here, just mobiles. He argued that since we’re linked to “Microsoft” there must be one. Then out of nowhere he started swearing at me. I got pretty mad and told him yes, there’s a computer in the office and I’m right here, and there’s no way he should talk to anyone like that.

I received a call that supposedly came from the Technical Department of Microsoft. An Asian woman named Jennifer knew my name, which was a bit unsettling; I recalled her ringing me a few months back, and I told her to shove off. During a prior conversation, a male technician of Asian descent took over, and I kept him on the line for as long as I could until he eventually told me to get lost!

I received a call early this morning, around 7:50, telling my elderly mum, who's 77, that her computer required an update and to adhere to their guidance. The thing is, she doesn’t even own a laptop or have internet access! Naturally, she got rather distressed, suspecting there might be trouble within the family. It's infuriating! Can someone please put an end to these calls, or at the very least, curb the ridiculous timing?

Received yet another call from someone purporting to be from the Microsoft Technical Team, and it’s becoming rather tiresome as they’ve rang repeatedly this week. Each time, it's the same individual with a distinctly Asian or Indian accent. On the first occasion, I suggested they find a more reputable line of work other than scamming individuals, to which I was treated to a rather inappropriate “F*** Off!” response. The second time around, I chose to just hang up. Yesterday, I made a point to request they take my number off their list, as I’m registered with the Telephone Preference Service-yet again, I received the same rude retort. Today, I decided to up the ante by threatening to report them for harassment, and ‘James’ returned the favour with multiple expletives. He had the nerve to lecture me on my speech when I hadn’t even uttered another word! To top it all off, he cheekily labelled me as the nation’s top prostitute, no less! Apparently, I’m the number one in Britain, which quite tickled me! He clearly didn’t appreciate my laughter, as he started shouting and then abruptly ended the call. Here’s hoping he doesn’t decide to try his luck again tomorrow!

Totally a rip off, they're just after scamming people. Got a ring from them earlier, some woman pretending to be from Microsoft. She said, "Hi, this is Amanda from Microsoft". I was on to them right away, no doubt it’s a con. Microsoft would never phone you out of the blue like that. The number that showed up was 02034577188. Best to just ignore or hang up straight away!

This person called saying they were from Microsoft, and honestly, they sounded super convincing. They knew my full name and address, which was a bit creepy. They told me my computer had been hacked and said Microsoft had spotted it, then offered to help me fix some settings over the phone. I kept asking for solid proof they really worked for Microsoft, but after I pressed them a few times, they just hung up on me.

I just received a call from someone claiming to be from Microsoft, chatting about issues with my computer over the past few days. Got a call from someone saying they were from Microsoft, supposedly based in Reading. I've watched quite a few scam bait vids on YouTube, so I decided to humour them for about ten minutes. The woman couldn’t explain why their number wasn’t local to Reading, which felt odd. After a while, she started threatening me with legal trouble and said Microsoft would block my PC. I just told her to go ahead and do it, so I’d know it was real. Then she abruptly ended the call. Fingers crossed my number gets removed from whatever list they’re working from now.

Dodgy scammers targeted my elderly mum, managing to persuade her to download a remote access app. They kept passing the phone between a few different voices, all telling her there was some kind of security problem with her computer. At one point, they even tried to get her to log into PayPal, pretending they were from Microsoft. Now I’m trying to sort things by reinstalling everything. Mum’s already called the bank, but honestly, watch out for these lowlifes - they’re nothing but crooks.
