Got called seven times within a day and each time I told them straight I don’t do phone surveys. Started off nicely, askin’ them to take me off their list. By the fourth ring I was getting pretty fed up and by the fifth I warned them real clear the next time I’d give it right back to them. Then came call number six which was just dead silent. They’re blocked now. These survey people sure don’t give up, I even missed one while I was out. They really ought to ban that number they use - it’s meant to be a London line but not a single cockney twang, mostly sounded like Asian speakers. Since going digital all we get is scam calls non-stop. Honestly, bring back old analogue phones!

Loads of these calls come through to me from all sorts of different numbers. What I do is save each one under a contact named "ignore" and set it to a ringtone that’s different from my usual one. That way, I don’t have to bother getting off the sofa when it rings! Unfortunately, this trick doesn’t work with calls where the number’s hidden. Still scratching my head figuring out a way to deal with those...

That way, I don’t have to bother getting up to answer. The tricky bit is with those calls that hide their number - still haven’t found a way to deal with those. Any ideas?

I've had enough of this number ringing me! They phoned me like eight times today from about 1 in the afternoon until half past eight at night. I answered three calls but there was nobody on the other end. They didn't even wait for the line to settle before hanging up. The rest just went straight to voicemail. I reckon I'll contact Virgin Media to try and get the number blocked, and if that doesn't work, I'll report it to the Telephone Preference Service to see if they can stop it for good!

I called him out, asked what his real name was. Same answer, John Carter. When I said there were four of us with that name, he just said any of them would do and then started firing questions at me non-stop. I tried to be polite and told him I didn’t want any follow up calls, nor was I interested in sponsoring or donating, but he just kept going. Eventually, I had to hang up. But barely a few seconds later, my phone buzzed again - it was him! He said, “Is this Ms D? If you hang up, all my effort will be wasted,” then went back to his barrage of questions. I’ve got three calls from them today. I just ended the call, and two minutes after that they called back, but when I kept quiet they quickly put the phone down. These calls at 8.45 at night are really unwanted - actually, I’d prefer not to get them ever.

Got a call at around 5:15pm, but it was just silence on the other end. When I tried ringing back, it said the number wasn’t valid. Whoever manages this number, maybe BT or something, really needs to be told and forced to shut it down quickly. Also, leaving complaints here doesn’t seem to be helping stop these annoying calls, so honestly, this site feels like a total waste of time.

This number keeps ringing me up about three or four times daily, but nobody ever speaks when I pick up. Tried calling them back to ask them to quit, but the call won’t go through. It’s well frustrating, especially since I don’t have caller ID and have to answer every time. Proper nuisance.

I keep getting calls from this number, 020 3457 3122, pushing some kind of survey for lead generation. Even after I asked them to stop, the calls just don't quit. And if I start questioning them, they just hang up straight away. Proper annoying.

This number has rung me at least seven times today. At first, I tried to stay courteous but ended up getting really annoyed. Eventually, I lost my temper completely and let rip, yet the caller still had the nerve to beg, 'just two minutes, please.' On top of this, I’ve had loads of calls from unknown numbers, including 02011123236 and another starting with zero! Honestly, it’s driving me mad and they’re just wasting both our time. I really wish it would stop.

Despite that, they still call now and then and it's really annoying. At one point, I left the phone off the hook for about half an hour and since then they’ve kinda eased up a bit. got two calls from this number today, once just after 2:30pm and then again around 6:15. as i’m disabled it takes me a bit to reach the phone, but every time I answer there's no one there. since its a uk landline, surely bt or whoever controls it should just disconnect it, these calls are a right pain. a whistle or some kind of electronic sound blocker sounds like a decent plan - if anyone knows of one, please share it so we can stop these idiots ringing us constantly.

Someone once said if you just let the phone ring and stay connected for about half an hour, those calls eventually stop. I gave it a go and it actually worked, but I had to put up with a lot of shouting and bad language before they finally hung up.

About every week, I get calls from them asking for my mum, who sadly passed away more than three years ago. I've told them to take our number off their list, but the calls just keep coming. We’re on the TPS, so I don't understand why it doesn't stop. The person on the other end has an Indian accent and sounds quite rude when I answer.

Got called like 6 times back to back this evening. The first time I told them to stop calling, but they just kept going. Eventually I had to block the number. Luckily, BT have this feature on their phones where you can block numbers, even international and withheld ones, so thats what I did.

I got calls from the same number about five times today. When my wife ended the call, they rang back asking why she’d done that. I snapped back that it’s up to us who we take calls from, not them. The guy on the other end got really nasty and even threatened to come find me and stab me, all while shouting insults. I told him to go ahead and asked what he actually wanted, but all I got was more swearing. So I grabbed the whistle nearby and gave it a quick, loud blow down the receiver - that actually made me feel a bit better!

This number rings me pretty much daily, loads of times. Most times I'm out, so I don't pick up, but tonight at 9pm I did. Some bloke said hello, knew my full name, then just dropped the call. No idea what they're after, but I'm not having any of it. Next time, I'll probably just let it ring or maybe answer and hang up quick. Or maybe I'll just answer and put the phone down so they’re stuck listening for a bit. :)

I've been getting about 5 or 6 calls daily from them, and no matter how many times I tell them to quit, they carry on like nothing. They even try to argue to get more info from me. Now I just give them plenty of swear words. I'm beyond annoyed at this point - I've even taken to unplugging the phone after 6pm since the TPS doesn't seem to help at all.
