Got a call from 0203 3322629 saying they were BT and that I had to press ‘1’ right away or I’d be arrested for fraud. I wasn’t having any of it and just hung up. Pretty sure it was a scam.

I got a call from 0203 455 4467 claiming there was an arrest warrant from HMRC - total nonsense, they just hung up on me. Another call came through from 0203 322 2664 with the same rubbish. I’ve reported both to Action Fraud and also emailed them at [email protected] about it.

I live alone and got really freaked out when this 02034554467 called me. I called back and some bloke was warning me that I’d be arrested if I didn’t cough up some money. He kept going on about freezing my bank account and all sorts of court nonsense. It was really pushy and quite threatening, made me feel really uneasy.

Got a call at 12.16pm from someone saying they were HMRC. Come on, civil servants working on Good Friday? Definitely a scam. HMRC never ring or email, they always send letters. Blocked the number straight away.

If it’s something really important, the real HMRC will send you a letter first and you’ll have enough time to check their details properly before getting back to them.
