Then I heard the line click like someone joined the call. A lady asked if she could speak to our director, calling him by his first name. I told her he wasn't around and she quickly ended the call. Pretty sure it was just spam.5 yearsGot a call from someone claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse trying to pitch a brilliant deal on a 20 ultra 59 phone (but I checked their site and this phone isn’t listed anywhere). They asked all sorts of personal stuff like if I was married, how long I’d been at my address, what job I did, and then asked for my bank info to set up a direct debit. They also wanted me to pay a £35 deposit to “reserve” the phone. Absolutely dodgy. When I tried ringing them back, the number was dead.
