I received a call at half ten this morning from someone purporting to be from Microsoft. This 'Rebecca' person claimed there were issues with my computer. When I told her I had no intention of logging on and was going to hang up, she insisted she could validate her identity. I terminated the call, but she rang me back immediately, stating I wasn’t permitted to disconnect! I made it clear that as the owner of the phone and the one covering the bills, I’d do as I pleased. I requested she remove my number from their list and cease calling, especially since my 99-year-old mother lives far away. I warned her that I would report them if they continued. She cheekily suggested I report them right then and there so she could hear it all. I simply hung up again.
