**O2 SCAM** - just hang up, block, and report. They try to get you with a supposed tariff discount, but really they use that to get into your online account and personal info. If you question them, they pass you to a “manager” who pretends it’s all legit but its all a con. Complete rubbish.

SCAM ALERT! Got a call from someone claiming to be from O2's "promotions team". They said I was eligible for a 40% discount for loyal customers but only if I read out a code they said they sent via text (never got any text). Then they asked for my email, saying it was no longer linked to my account, so they could send me the details. When I said I’d just pop into an O2 shop, they said the offer wasn’t available in store. Felt really fishy!

Got the classic scam intro: she said, "This is 02" and "how are you today?" Woman with a thick Indian accent, sounded like she was in some noisy call centre. The connection was awful. I told her straight up I knew she was fibbing. Still, she kept pushing, insisting she was from 02. So I kept asking her how it felt to waste her time tricking folks like this. After a bit, she just cut off.

Someone was acting like they were from 02. They even sent a text saying it was from ‘o2’ asking me to give them a code they supposedly sent, promising an email afterwards. I strongly urge everyone to steer clear of this company. They posed as my mobile service provider and, quite alarmingly, had me convinced. They dangled a tempting 40% discount in front of me as a reward for my loyalty, something I thought was perfectly plausible given previous authentic calls from O2. Without a second thought, I agreed to their offer. However, they then proceeded to request verification of my security details to facilitate my switch to a new contract. It was at this moment they took control of my account, altered my contract details, and even arranged for a device to be sent to themselves. To make matters worse, I suspect they’ve also manipulated my phone number, as I’ve been bombarded with calls from individuals claiming I contacted them when I certainly did not. I cannot emphasise this enough-please exercise extreme caution and do not fall into the same trap that I did!
