Since my contract with them is coming to an end this month, I went over to the two young women at the stall and mentioned I was keen to renew. I said I was happy with TalkTalk and was curious if they could offer me a better deal than my current one - which costs me £23.50 a month for line rental, fibre broadband, and internet protection. One of the girls told me they had a deal for £21.50 a month that included all that plus unlimited faster downloads, free calls, protection, a new router, and some other things I can't quite recall. She gave me a phone number to ring to get the upgrade sorted straight away. Thing is, the number she gave me isn’t on any of my contract papers. I called the official TalkTalk number from my contract instead, and turns out, no such deal exists. Now I’m stuck paying £27.50 a month with the same services as before and no hidden fees or extras. Bit frustrating, really.TalkTalk9 yearsI had a chat with my brother who has learning difficulties and ended up helping him switch his phone line. The caller even went as far as calling his building society to get his account details for a direct debit, but thankfully, they don't offer direct debit services.
