I recently had a conversation with my brother, who has learning disabilities, and I helped him switch his phone provider. In addition, I called his building society to request his account number for setting up direct debits. Fortunately, it turned out that his building society does not offer direct debit services. This all took place on 22nd November 2017 in Canton, Cardiff. The name on the contract is Shanella Evans, with the reference code TTPOMB68261.

The difficult accessibility of the TalkTalk website doesn't assist matters. Moreover, our data was compromised during a recent hack, which leads me to suspect that is how they obtained our personal information.

Earlier today, I encountered an individual trying to sell Talktalk services in Mexborough, South Yorkshire. Interestingly, we are already subscribers of Talktalk, so he shouldn't have approached us. During our brief conversation, my wife mentioned in passing that I had expressed dissatisfaction with the prices of our broadband and TV package. Seizing this opportunity, the man suggested that I should contact Talktalk and express my concerns to potentially negotiate a lower price. He even went on to provide a telephone number: 02034415550. This has left me curious as to whether Talktalk employs such aggressive sales tactics or if this number is indeed legitimate. I would appreciate some clarification on this matter. Yours sincerely, BA from Rotherham.

Today, in Mexborough, South Yorkshire, I had an encounter with a Talktalk salesperson. Despite already being a Talktalk customer, he approached us. My wife mentioned that I had expressed frustration about the high price of our broadband and TV package. In response, the salesperson suggested calling Talktalk to complain about the cost, assuring us that they would reduce it. He even shared a phone number with me - 02034415550. I'm unsure whether this is a legitimate Talktalk representative or if there might be some unscrupulous practices at play. Has anyone else experienced such tactics from Talktalk? Kindly, BA from Rotherham.

I recently experienced a similar situation. I received a call from someone with an Indian accent claiming his name was "David Wilson". When I mentioned that I would contact him later, he provided me with the number +44 203 441 5550. I inquired about his location in the UK, but he seemed unable to answer and instead responded angrily with "3 o'clock". It is evident that this caller was not associated with TalkTalk.

Be cautious of a call allegedly coming from Talk Talk's Internet Connection Department, claiming that they have detected connection issues with your home PC due to viruses obtained from various websites. The caller will offer assistance over the phone by guiding you through the process of downloading new software to prevent further issues. Beware of this!

They claim to be from the Talk Talk office located at 11 Evesham Street in London, which may or may not be accurate. However, there is certainly an office building at that address.

I was skeptical of their intentions, and I strongly advise you to thoroughly research and verify the identities of any individuals before agreeing to receive guidance over the phone.

Someone claiming to be from TalkTalk called me around a month back and I reported it. He gave his name as John Davison and told me to check my router to sort an issue. He said to wait for my son, then said he’d ring back at 3. Guess it’s time to report this again.

I received two calls today wherein they supposedly mentioned some alarming situations on my phone line. They suggested that I install TeamViewer to grant them access to my computer. Their claim is that they obtained my information from the individual who hacked TalkTalk last year. It is important to note that these individuals are engaging in illegal activities. Their intentions include stealing sensitive information such as your bank details, login credentials, and passwords, ultimately leading to identity theft. I strongly advise against sharing any information with them.

I received a phone call from this number earlier, and I'm certain it's not TalkTalk. Normally, when TalkTalk gives me a call on my mobile, their name appears on the screen. I'm quite cautious when it comes to unknown numbers that ring my mobile without showing a name, especially since the people I know are all identified on my device. It seems like yet another scammer to me.

Got a call on my landline then straight after on my mobile, didn't pick up cause I usually ignore numbers I don't know. They left messages on both phones about some broadband issue with TalkTalk. Could be legit but I've had loads of TalkTalk scams before. I rather ring them back myself.

I encountered a recurring issue today, just like yesterday. Interestingly, this time it came from a man with a mediocre command of the English language. He got a bit confused at times and claimed to be a technician from talktalk, urging me to fetch my computer so he could assist with fixing my broadband problems. It's worth noting that I'm no longer a customer of talktalk. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a phone number through the 1471 service.

Yesterday, I made a phone call to TalkTalk using a premium rate number. Following the instructions given in a recorded message, I ended that call and dialed another one. However, I became frustrated with waiting and decided to hang up. To my surprise, today I received a call from a woman, possibly of Indian descent, who claimed to be from TalkTalk. She mentioned that she wanted to assist me with fixing an issue regarding my broadband router and requested that I turn on my computer. While chatting, I could hear the background noise typical of a call center. When I attempted to check the number that called me on 1471, it wasn't available. Oddly enough, I haven't been a TalkTalk customer since last October!
