So, I spotted a TalkTalk stall in my town recently. Since my contract with them is coming to an end this month, I went over to the two young women at the stall and mentioned I was keen to renew. I said I was happy with TalkTalk and was curious if they could offer me a better deal than my current one - which costs me £23.50 a month for line rental, fibre broadband, and internet protection. One of the girls told me they had a deal for £21.50 a month that included all that plus unlimited faster downloads, free calls, protection, a new router, and some other things I can't quite recall. She gave me a phone number to ring to get the upgrade sorted straight away. Thing is, the number she gave me isn’t on any of my contract papers. I called the official TalkTalk number from my contract instead, and turns out, no such deal exists. Now I’m stuck paying £27.50 a month with the same services as before and no hidden fees or extras. Bit frustrating, really.

I had a chat with my brother who has learning difficulties and ended up helping him switch his phone line. The caller even went as far as calling his building society to get his account details for a direct debit, but thankfully, they don't offer direct debit services. This took place in Canton, Cardiff on 22/11/17. The name on the contract is Shanella Evans TTPOMB68261.

Getting on the TalkTalk website is a bit of a pain, honestly. Plus, with that hack they had, I bet that's how these scammers got hold of our info.

So today in Mexborough, South Yorkshire, I had this bloke knocking about selling Talktalk. We’re already with Talktalk, so I thought he’d just move on. But then my missus mentioned I was moaning about our broadband and TV bill being too high. Next thing, the guy says I should call their customer service to haggle a better deal, and he gave me this number 02034415550. Is this legit or have Talktalk got dodgy salesmen working for ’em? Anyone else had this? Cheers from Rotherham.

Someone just rang me up sounding Indian, called himself "David Wilson". When I told him I'd ring back later, he gave me the number 0203 441 5550. I asked what part of the UK he was in but he got annoyed and just said "3 o'clock". Pretty sure it wasn’t TalkTalk.

I got a call from someone claiming to be with Talk Talk’s Internet Dept, saying our home PC was having connection issues because it got viruses from websites we visited. They were really eager to "help" by walking me through downloading some software over the phone! Honestly, sounds super dodgy to me - BE CAREFUL!!! They told me they were calling from Talk Talk’s office on 11 Evesham Street, London, which might be real or just made up. The building does look like a normal office block though. I didn’t trust these folks for a second and I’d recommend anyone to double check who’s on the line before following any instructions or giving info. Always better to be safe than sorry!

Someone claiming to be from TalkTalk called me around a month back and I reported it. He gave his name as John Davison and told me to check my router to sort an issue. He said to wait for my son, then said he’d ring back at 3. Guess it’s time to report this again.

I got two calls from them today, both saying there’s some kind of alarm on my phone line. They tried to get me to put TeamViewer on my computer so they could get in. Apparently, they got my info from some kid who hacked TalkTalk last year. These people are total scammers - they’ll nick your bank info, passwords and even steal your identity. Don’t trust them or hand over anything!

I ended up getting told to ring this number after reporting a broadband problem, again, through TalkTalk’s 0870 line. The voice on the other end sounded like a call centre based in India. The chap claimed this was the number for their specialist tech support team.

Got a call claiming to be Talk Talk, saying they were sending an engineer to sort out my broadband. They then asked for my bank info. I just hung up and called my bank straight away to block any payments to Talk Talk until I can confirm what's going on.

A while back, this number gave me a ring but I don't reckon it's TalkTalk because when it shows up on my phone, their name is always displayed. I get suspicious of any calls that come through without a name on my mobile, especially since everyone I know with this number has their name showing. Feels like just another scam artist trying their luck.

Got a call on my landline then straight after on my mobile, didn't pick up cause I usually ignore numbers I don't know. They left messages on both phones about some broadband issue with TalkTalk. Could be legit but I've had loads of TalkTalk scams before. I rather ring them back myself.

Had the exact same thing just like yesterday, never ran into this before... This bloke spoke English but not great and got confused a couple of times, said he was a TalkTalk tech and wanted to help sort out my broadband issues. Told him I don’t even use TalkTalk anymore! Tried checking the number on 1471 but no luck, no number showed up.

Yesterday I rang TalkTalk using a premium rate number after hearing a recorded message, but I didn't want to hang around so I ended the call and tried this number instead. I wasn't in the mood to wait on hold so I just hung up. Today I received a phone call from a woman who sounded like she might be Indian, claiming to be from TalkTalk and offering to help sort out issues with my broadband router, asking if I had my computer ready. There was a busy noise in the background like a call centre, but the number didn’t show up on caller ID or 1471. The funny thing is I stopped being a TalkTalk customer back in October last year!

On the 21st of September at about 20:54, this number showed up on my phone bill as a call made within the country. It lasted just over a minute and a half, and they charged me five pence. Even though it wasn't much, I was a bit confused since I didn't know who the caller was.
