Some bloke rang and said he’d phoned last month about ‘solar panels’ which is daft because I don’t own any. When I told him I’d never had a call he just said I must’ve forgotten. What really got on my nerves was having to say ‘hello’ and ask who it was about five times before they stopped jibber-jabbering and laughing with their mate. Proper bunch of amateurs if you ask me.

I got a call from someone named Alan at Information Send who said he’d spoken to me last month about a routine check on our solar panels. He wanted to set up a time for a service, but I told him straight we don’t own any solar panels. After that, he just hung up.

A couple of days ago, we got a call that seemed legit, offering a free inspection of our solar panels. We booked an appointment and later tried calling them back but couldn’t get through - the number didn’t come up on our phone. Turns out it was a scam. When they rang again from another number to confirm, I just cancelled the whole thing.

I said “who’s this?” because if it’s important they need to speak to me. Then they just cut off without saying a word. Lovely. Definitely just a pointless nuisance.

A lady rang me claiming to be from a certain company, but I wasn’t sure and asked her to say the name again. She said she was returning my call and mentioned we spoke on 28 April about getting my solar panels serviced. Thing is, I never spoke to her before or asked anyone to call me back. I told her I wouldn’t just trust someone who called out of the blue. She was quite pushy, saying I told her to ring back and that my solar panels needed servicing according to the national grid database. After a bit of back and forth, she finally hung up, and I blocked the number straight away.
