10 yearsI received a call earlier today for my dear old Mum, where the caller asserted they were from a Spanish court, discussing a timeshare property she disposed of two decades ago. Once they started their spiel, I hung up as it became evident it was all a scam-despite their rather British tones!Mum10 yearsSubsequent to a call from an 0203 number, I received a call from a woman with a distinctly articulate English accent on the number 0034603214372. She claimed to represent the Bank of Spain, informing me that I was supposedly owed £11,000. She mentioned that as a pensioner, I’d have to fork out an 8% Spanish tax, totalling just shy of £1,000. Once settled, the £11K could be transferred directly to my bank in two days or delivered by post in about four weeks. All communications were to be conducted via email, but when I mentioned I didn’t have an email address, the call abruptly cut off!Bank of Spain10 yearsI received a rather robotic voice message informing me about a legal matter concerning some funds owed to me from a company that had been ruled fraudulent in Malaga. It advised that if I wished to chat with an actual person, I should hit 5, but if I'd already sorted my claim, pressing 9 would take me off their contact list. Quite frustrating that all their representatives seemed to be busy!Malaga10 yearsThe voicemail grabbed this call - it turned out to be a recorded message concerning timeshare laws. It instructed me to press 5 for one thing and 9 for another. Essentially, it was all about compensation options.Submit Your Own Report (020 3432 6562)
