I just realised I didn't mention the number earlier - it's 02031291954. Thanks a lot!

I got calls like this one, telling me I'd be taken to court if I didn't ring them back. I just ignored it, knowing it was a scam because courts wouldn't handle things like that. It's mad that with all the reports against this number, BT still hasn’t done anything to block it.

This number has rung me up three times now, and I've reached out to the local cops about it. They told me pretty much what others have mentioned in their comments.

Today I got the same call and already told the national fraud team about it. What a muppet! Fingers crossed he doesn’t ring any vulnerable old folks. Honestly, you'd think he'd go to prison but probs not gonna happen!

About thirty minutes ago, I got a call from someone named Paul, speaking with an Indian accent. He told me I was the prime suspect in some case, which really annoyed me, so I demanded more info. I got a bit shouty and soon after, he just hung up on me. Curious, I looked up the number online and rang back, staying calm this time. He told me not to interrupt after I said only a few words and then cut me off again. Turns out this bloke is a scammer. I’m baffled how this kind of rubbish is allowed to go on so openly. Where’s the law to crack down on this sort of fraud? It’s ridiculous!

Got the same voicemail and decided to ring them back. I ended up laughing and told the guy that’s not how the law actually operates. He got really mad, started yelling, and then just cut me off. Totally a scam, no doubt about it.

If you got a call like this, I reckon the person on the line might actually be from British Gas customer support. I had a chat with them about a payment issue, and it seemed like they had all the info straight from British Gas themselves. So, if you’ve dealt with BG recently, best ring them up and let them know what's going on.

I rang the national Fraud helpline today because I got a call from this number. Honestly, if you ever get a call like that, definitely get in touch with them. And if they leave a voicemail, don’t just delete it - keep it as proof. Apparently, loads of people have reported calls from this number and other ones with the same kind of story. It’s all complete nonsense. If you were facing court, a real solicitor would send you official papers through the post, or the police would contact you properly if you were about to get arrested. The court itself wouldn’t just tell you over the phone or on a voicemail like this. So be really sceptical.

Some bloke rang me saying he was a solicitor from a firm in Bishopsgate, claiming I was involved in some sort of incident. He asked for my senior lawyer’s name and said if I didn’t return the call within 45 minutes, there'd be trouble. I ended the call right there, no way was I falling for that.

I hardly ever get calls like this, and if I do, I just let them ring out and they never bother to leave a voicemail. But like many others have mentioned, this one guy said he was a lawyer claiming I was being taken to court, supposedly in my local county court, though he never specified which one, and it was happening within the next 45 minutes. He told me to ring him back. I didn't listen any more than that and just trashed the message straight away.

These idiots from India were at it again, trying to rip off people who are just as gullible as they are. What a bunch of muppets!

Got a call like that too. I asked him to send me something in writing and bam, he just hung up. Felt like he was stuck on some script and couldn’t say anything else. Honestly, probably the worst lawyer I’ve ever come across.

Honestly, total scam alert. Got a call from some guy with an Indian accent, saying he was from Paul & Allen solicitors, threatening that the police would come to my job to arrest me. He didn’t even seem to realise it’s a bank holiday today. I've had these types of calls before. I told him I’d track down exactly who he is and where, then promised to give him a good hiding. Now he’s telling me police will turn up at my house. Can’t wait. Usually putting them on edge like that works, and I’ve never had the same lot ring me twice.

I'm feeling really stressed out, they've called me loads of times and I'm scared I might get in trouble. I've been thinking about just paying them but I don't know if that's right. Ever since the first call last week, I can't get a proper night's sleep. Someone please help me out.

Over the last couple of days, on the 23rd and 24th May 2013, I've gotten loads of calls from this number warning me that i'd be arrested within 45 minutes and might lose my job and all that rubbish... total scam! It's just not right they can get away with this sort of thing. Honestly, the one who deserves to be arrested is the person behind these harassing calls...

I got a call saying I had to pay £399 for a debt I have no clue about, and if I didn’t pay in 45 minutes, they’d take legal action. They claimed papers were already sent! I was really freaked out at first, but then I found this website and realised it’s a total scam. It’s so frustrating that these kinds of calls can’t just be stopped.

This number has been calling my grandma three times now, threatening to send the police to her house. She got really scared and rang me straight away. I contacted the police about it, and they gave me the contact for a national scam hotline. If anyone else gets calls from this number, please reach out to them too - the more reports they get, the quicker they can deal with it. The number to call is 03001232040.

Got a couple of calls from this number on 13th May 2023. They said they were from some law office trying to serve legal documents. They even knew my home address, which was a bit creepy. Tried looking up the law firm they mentioned and the lawyer’s name, but couldn’t find anything that matches. Going to just disregard it.

Is there any way to stop this Brian White from the company Paul and Allen? He keeps ringing me up, threatening that I’ll lose my job and even my house. It’s really frustrating. I’ve tried blocking his number but he just keeps coming through somehow. Does anyone know any other way to deal with this?

I got a call yesterday and then 3 more times today from someone claiming the police would show up at my house and workplace if I didn’t pay £420 within 45 minutes. What they didn’t know was my dad is actually a judge. When he answered the phone, they just hung up straight away. He tried ringing back and the person on the other end denied ever calling me! Luckily, I recorded all the voicemails they left. Honestly, I reckon it’s the same bloke each time because the voice sounded identical.

I got a call early on, they said I should ring back for a senior solicitor. When I called them back, I was told the police were on a conference call and then they just hung up on me. Classic scam stuff, really. Don’t bother wasting your time with whoever’s behind it.

Got a call today from some muppets saying they were going to send the cops to my workplace because of a supposed £498 debt. I got in touch with the Ministry of Justice, and they confirmed it’s a total scam. They said if they ring again, just tell them you’re onto their scam and that you’ll be reporting the number to the police - usually makes them bugger off pretty quick.

So I just got this call from a bloke with an Indian accent saying he was from a law firm and that the police were on their way, which was pretty funny. They even left me a voicemail, but I’ve already forwarded it to the police because I don’t mess about with scammers or threats like that.

Got a scary voicemail on my phone a few minutes ago, saying the cops are going to come to my job. Honestly, I don’t get why the police aren’t able to step in and help with this, it’s really stressing me out.

I just got a call from this number, they left a voicemail saying I’d be arrested in 45 minutes. Honestly, this is getting ridiculous, he also mentioned I should get a lawyer. This kind of thing needs to end.

Got a voicemail on my mobile saying I better ring him back today or I’m in big trouble with the cops. He asked if I have a lawyer or solicitor, said I only have 13 minutes to call him back. The bloke’s called Brian White, sounds like he might be Indian. He even phoned my house last night. This is proper unsettling. Any bills I owe are all sorted, don’t appreciate being threatened like this. These sorts of people really need to be put in check. anon

This morning I got a call from some people claiming to be from Paul & Allen Solicitors, saying they were working with the UK Ministry of Justice. They told me I'd got an outstanding debt of £354 and if I didn’t pay up, the police would come to my house within the hour to arrest me for theft. At first, I spoke with a guy called Daniel Roberts, who asked me to ring back and speak to the Senior Lawyer. When I did, I got John Hudson on the line. Both had strong Indian accents and refused to give me any clear details. I ended up getting mad and shouted at him, which made him hang up on me. Absolute rubbish. These scumbags are just disgusting. Do they really think people are dumb enough to send them money over the phone? Sadly, some probably do without thinking. Using the name Ministry of Justice like that is just so misleading!

They called me up too, threatening and being rude...

In the end, I had to report them to both the Police and the National Fraud Authority.

Best bet is to just firmly but politely say, ‘I’m aware this is a scam, you won’t get anything from me, thanks.’

These calls are awful, honestly just brush them off, have a cuppa and carry on with your day. Life’s too short to get wound up over these dodgy lot.

Got a voicemail from some Indian lawyers threatening to sue me. Pretty sure it’s just a scam trying to scare me.

So frustrating! Got four messages left on my voicemail from some bloke I couldn’t make head nor tail of. Sounds like he was threatening legal action and said if I didn’t ring back, he’d send the cops round or something mad like that. I just ignored it all. Still, a bit worried because stuff like that could really scare someone who’s more vulnerable.

I got a call around 5pm today from some guy claiming he was a junior lawyer, saying I’m a main suspect in some legal case. I told him I had no idea what he was talking about, and then he tried to give me a number to ring a senior lawyer who could explain it properly. He seemed a bit annoyed when I corrected him because he said “Good morning” when it was obviously afternoon, and he also thought I was laughing at him, which I definitely wasn’t. The call ended with him threatening that police would be at my door within half an hour. I’m completely clean with a spotless CRB check, but I have to admit, my heart was pounding a bit. Later I called the number he gave me, spoke to another Indian man who claimed to be at a lawyer’s office. Plus I got two voicemail messages, one at 1pm and another at 3pm, both saying police would arrive in half an hour. Still waiting and no sign of anyone!

Somebody shouted at me to hire a lawyer, said I'm getting sued, but no clue why at all???
