Received a call from 02034323441, and they were insisting that we ought to get a solicitor involved because they are aware of our financial troubles with payday loans. They seemed rather intent on warning us about potential court actions.

Today, I got a call from someone named Brian White who said he was calling from Paul M Allen law firm. He told me to ring the number provided and have a chat with their senior lawyer, Ryan Harris. Such a weird thing to get out of the blue!

I got a call at my workplace from this bloke and I have no idea how he got my number! He told me I had to call another number back within 45 minutes or else I’d be arrested for some financial crime. I said if a lawyer wanted to talk to me, they could call me directly, but he told me they never do that. I refused to call until I knew what it was all about. He got quite annoyed and I ended the call. Not long after, he called again asking if I had hung up on him. When I said yes, he called me a criminal and threatened to send the police to both my home and work. Then he just ended the call. Later, I found out from my receptionist that he kept telling her I was a criminal during the call. I’m still shocked and pretty upset, and trying to convince my colleagues that I’m not involved in anything dodgy despite what he said.

This number has left me a couple of voicemails now, saying it’s some legal issue. When I told them to quit calling, they just hung up on me, which was really rude. The people calling said their names are Jennifer Brown and Ryan Jones, claiming to be from the financial planning department or something like that. Someone needs to catch them before I do, cos I’m dead serious about finding out who they really are. They really need to stop this nonsense.

This number left me a voicemail saying I needed to contact a lawyer urgently and to call back within an hour. When I called back, the man on the line, who said his name was Derek Martin but had an Asian accent, hung up after I told him I didn’t have a lawyer. Oddly, the number he asked me to call back on wasn’t the same as the one he called from. I’ve since spoken to a solicitor who advised me not to return the call and to report this to the police, which is exactly what I’m planning to do.

Just got a voicemail from them saying I have a court date tomorrow about some financial and criminal stuff. When I called back, the guy on the phone was really rude and wouldn’t explain anything, then just cut me off. I’m dealing with health issues, so this has really stressed me out.

I had one of these calls recently and it really freaked me out. The person on the other end kept threatening me, saying I was going to lose my job and be arrested unless I paid over £400 straight away. They also mentioned suing me for more than £5000 - it was just so scary. The bloke calling was really aggressive and rude, which made it worse. Since then, I’ve gotten two more calls and a voicemail from that same number. Honestly, they’re awful people and should be stopped before someone has a full-blown panic attack or worse.

Today I got a call from a foreign number like the one listed here, but I didn’t pick up. Later on, ‘David Martin’ from some ‘Financial Crime Investigation’ left a pretty alarming voicemail, trying to make me think there was an urgent issue involving me or my solicitor, asking me to get back to him straight away - clearly a scare tactic. I just ignored it. Not long after, my phone rang three times in a row from another international number which I didn’t answer. Unfortunately, my daughter picked it up and passed the call to me. It turned out to be the same bloke who left that message. I told him twice that I didn’t want any more calls on this number and he seemed to get the message. Haven’t heard a thing since. I’m considering reporting this because it felt more like harassment than a standard cold call.

Today I got a call repeatedly, round 10 times, from someone named David Martin. He said if I didn’t ring him back in an hour, I’d need to hire a lawyer. Quite annoying!

This number has called me twice now, the person on the line said his name was David Martin and claimed I was under some kind of investigation. Foolishly, I called the number back, but no one picked up. Then today, I got an international call from the same number. The guy was really pushing me to find a lawyer in the next 45 minutes or else it’d be too late. When I mentioned I'd contact the police, he started getting really nasty and said I'd be arrested in the next hour. Proper dodgy behaviour if you ask me.

Just got a call from this number at about 12.15pm but didn’t pick it up. Later got a voicemail from someone claiming to be ‘Jennifer Brown’. The lady on the message spoke really broken English and sounded like she was from somewhere in Asia. She said I, or my solicitor, needed to call back immediately about some legal issue or it’d be too late. It seemed dodgy to me, like one of those scams trying to trick you into ringing a premium line. So, I ignored it and checked out where the number came from when I got in. That’s how I ended up here reading these comments.

Today at about 12:41, I got a call telling me I was the main suspect in some financial scam, and that my email had been used to illegally take money. Total nonsense if you ask me... What bothered me a bit was they already had my full name and home address. I’ve since handed it over to the national crime and fraud office by ringing 03001232040.

A man claimed to be from some 'Financial Crime Investigation' unit. I just rang back and got an international voicemail noise. Looks like it might be one of those fake UK numbers created through VOIP, designed to drain your wallet when you call - basically you get charged loads just for hearing a ring! I'm not in the country at the moment, but I reckon this info should be given to the proper officials.

So I got a voicemail from this number, and some bloke with an Indian accent said his name was 'David Martin'. He warned me or my solicitor to call back before it’s too late! It’s kinda worrying since he knew my name spot on, just like others here. Has anyone checked if someone’s recently bought a website with this name or something? Could be connected.

Yesterday I got a call like this. I called back and they said I was due in court the next day. Not sure what the scam was about exactly, but it was pretty scary.

Got a call from this number on the morning of 23rd May 2013, around 9:10am. Some bloke with an Indian accent claimed I'd be investigated for financial wrongdoing and told me to ring a lawyer named Antony Rodriguez at that number. When I asked for further info, he said he was just a paralegal and I needed to speak directly to the lawyer. Tried calling back but it kept disconnecting. Tried again about 10 minutes later and it just rang out endlessly.

Today, 23/05/2013, I received several calls from an Indian woman named 'Sharika Brown' who had a very limited command of English. She claimed to be representing a firm called 'Financial Crime Investigations' and rang me six times between 8:35 in the morning and 9:35.

It was quite unsettling because she almost got my name right, which makes me wonder who on earth gave them my mobile number and personal info!

The main message was that either me or my solicitor needed to get in touch straight away because it was some urgent legal issue... and on and on it went...

This morning, I got a weird call on my mobile, and when I got back from work, there was a strange voicemail on my home phone. It was hard to catch everything but sounded like something to do with me or my solicitor needing to ring this number about some legal matter. Does anyone know how to block these calls?

Got a call from this number telling me to ring Anthony Rodrick at the same number, but when I tried to call back, it just went dead on me. Watch out, seems like it’s some kind of scam going on here...

Just got a call where the person said my National Insurance number was being looked into by some financial crime folks and that police would be at my door in 45 minutes. Sounds like total nonsense to me... I'll update if anything happens, but I doubt it.

Very similar thing happened to me with that number. They claimed I was involved in some sort of financial fraud and asked for my solicitor’s contact info. When I told them I didn’t have a lawyer, they pushed me to ring some guy called Anthony Rodriguez on 0203432 2441, saying he’d explain the situation. Then it hit me that it was the same number that had called me in the first place. Sounds dodgy to me, probably a scam.
