I recently encountered some rather dubious characters with Indian accents who were masquerading under Western monikers, trying to pull a fast one by fabricating issues with my computer. They claimed they could resolve these non-existent software glitches for a fee. Essentially, they attempted to seize control of my laptop, threatening to lock me out if I didn’t cough up the cash. They initially dangled a £75 price tag but then began to pressure me for an outrageous £307! It’s nothing short of a scam-very convincing, yet undeniably a scam. Best to steer well clear of these shifty individuals!
