Someone rang me up saying they were from BT Open Reach, saying my internet IP was visible online. I told them I was busy and needed to go, then asked if I could ring back later. They gave me a number which seemed like BT’s, but when I phoned it, BT said they weren’t aware of any such call. The person on the line had an accent that didn’t sound local. Definitely sounded like a scam to me.
