Some bloke rang, already knowing my name, but he refused to say who he was or why he was calling unless I confirmed who I was first. I wasn’t having any of it. When I asked why, he said it was because my number came up as spam before I even picked up. He gave a little laugh and guessed I probably had one of those caller ID apps. He kept pushing for me to verify my identity, but I told him straight I wouldn't do that until he told me his name, who he was calling from, and what the call was about. This back-and-forth dragged on until I told him I was hanging up, and I did just that.

Every day at the exact same time, I get calls from numbers that look almost identical. They never bother to leave a message either. I block each one that rings, but then the next day another number shows up with just a few digits different. It's like they're really determined to keep calling. Definitely some kind of scammer!
