I had actually sent a text to Woodgreen Animal Charity after seeing their appeal on the telly. They said they’d ring me to arrange regular donations, but I’d already set that up through their website. The number showed up as unknown on my phone, so I just blocked it straight away. Charities like that seem really eager for any support they can get these days.

I reckon they’ll try to get your bank details and who knows what they’ll do with them. I got a missed call and after reading the reviews about Woodgreen, I decided to phone them back. The reply was an automated message saying something about a tote bag, which funny enough, I had actually asked for. The recorded voice mentioned they'd ring me again later.
