They pretty much knew my name and said it was about a business account with RBS. Thing is, I don’t have a business account there or with NatWest either. They wanted me to answer security questions, but since I don’t even have an account with that bank I just hung up.

Got a call from 0203 416 5001, someone saying they're from Natwest. They wanted me to update my business details. I wasn’t sure if it was legit, so I asked them to verify something about my company’s bank info. They just read out the intro from our website’s homepage. I didn’t trust it and told them I’d ring my bank manager properly. This might actually be Natwest's line but I’d recommend calling the bank directly to be sure.

When you ring natwest or rbs and ask for this department, they’ll put you straight through and that team will verify this phone number with you - you can also find it on the natwest site under contact us!! If you don’t fill out the profile with them, they might freeze your account so make sure to check the natwest website!

This is a scam, plain and simple. Whoever claimed this place is legit really should double check their facts! I was about to call back after reading it was a proper site, but got worried when I saw some comments mentioning people called a known NatWest number only to find no official team member had reached out. So I dialled my own number and, as expected, nobody from NatWest had tried to get in touch. Plus, if they had, there’d be a note on my account detailing who and why. They advised not to engage with these calls.

Got a call from this number earlier. The voice seemed kinda alright, but I just ended the call anyway. I rang NatWest to see if they'd made any calls to me or if this number belonged to them. Turns out there’s no record of it, and they said NatWest numbers always start with 08. So yeah, this isn’t NatWest, despite what this site says!

Rang the number, lasted about 30 seconds then cut off before I could chat to anyone! Total scam. Luckily, most of us use some common sense and can spot these things. Best thing is to block these calls on your phone or ask your network for help. Don’t let them mess with you!

this was a Natwest number - I double checked with the bank through their website chat. Yesterday, I got a call from a woman saying she was Amanda Chung and claiming to be from Natwest Bank. She said she needed to check some details about my business profile. I didn’t give her any sensitive information, only confirmed my postcode and name. Something felt off, so I made up a reason and ended the call. Later, I rang Natwest fraud team on 0345 300 4350 to check, and they told me no one from their bank had called me. They also said their staff usually wouldn’t mention their surname unless the customer asks first. Definitely seemed fishy to me.

I’m pretty sure this is a scam. It sounded legit at first, but I got a bit doubtful and asked which email they had for me (I always use a special one just for NatWest). They told me my personal email instead, which shows they must have grabbed info from somewhere else and matched it to my NatWest details. Watch out folks, it’s a good idea to use different email addresses for different companies (look up email aliasing).

They try to scare you by saying that if you don’t verify your details again (when did that become a legal thing?), they’ll lock you out of your account. What law lets a bank block you from your own cash? That’s basically robbery, which is exactly what these con artists want - to nick your money! Just consider it! Also, keep in mind anyone can comment here, so the replies claiming it’s legit might well be from the scammers themselves!

Just a heads up, scammers from abroad might fake real company numbers to trick people. Don’t just ignore calls or letters from your bank asking you to do something - it might be legit. Always get in touch with them quickly by visiting your branch or calling the number on your bank statements or the back of your card. When dealing with unknown callers, always be sensible and NEVER share any personal info. If you get scam calls, report them here and also on 'Action Fraud'.

Got this letter and looked it up on here, then gave my Relationship Manager a call. He said NatWest is doing some customer checks and sending letters out, so it’s definitely legit. I phoned the number on the letter, had a chat with someone, and now sorting everything they asked for. Can say for sure this number isn’t a scam or any phishing attempt.

I noticed some worries on here so I popped into my local branch and they told me that NatWest and RBS are carrying out a customer due dilligence check, which is why they’re sending letters out. This number is legit, it’s the NatWest customer service line. The staff at the branch dialed it for me and they confirmed it’s all above board.
