I usually block them after checking their details here, but I’m at a bit of a loss regarding what further steps I can take.Magrathea Telecommunications Limited4 yearsThis seems like yet another one of those dodgy compensation scams. You'll receive a call regarding some alleged accident, and they’ll assure you of a hefty insurance payout. Just save yourself the hassle and block these nincompoops! Finally picked up, and a lady with an Indian accent, who said her name was Sammi or something similar, answered. She knew my full name, house number and even my postcode, then asked if I owned a Hotpoint washing machine that’s over two years old. She also checked if I was above twenty. After that, she just thanked me, repeated my name once more and hung up. It felt really odd, so I tried ringing back but only got an automated message saying there was a fault with the number.Sammi4 yearsGot a call out the blue saying I’d been in a car crash, sounded dodgy so I just cut them off.
