Somebody rang me saying they were an account manager from British Gas, but when I questioned them, they started backpedalling. I ended the call, yet they had the nerve to ring me four times straight after. Absolute joke. They really need to find a decent job, honestly 🙄

I received a phone call from someone who said he was with a utility company named Opus. He inquired whether I had gotten my renewal paperwork. However, as the conversation went on, he began to ask me various questions that seemed quite off-topic. It was evident he was trying to fish for my personal details.

some dodgy bloke called claiming to be from opus energy asking if i'd got my renewal papers. i told him no, not likely since i deal straight with opus and get all my stuff thru my own account. but he just brushed that aside and tried to get my business name and address, stuff opus already has anyway. i reckon with everything going on, these scammers are really out there trying it on. watch out folks, don't let them trick you.

I got a call from 0203 404 9308 claiming to be some sort of administrator taking control of CNG because they were supposedly going bankrupt. They warned that if we didn’t change our gas supplier through them today, we’d be left without gas come Friday. When I questioned the guy, he got really rude and insisted he could prove it was legit by having the account manager ring me. I told him there’s no need since I’m aware they have access to our details anyway. Told him to buzz off and that I’d contact CNG myself. Proper scam, they should be embarrassed!

Somebody rang me claiming to be from EDF wanting to chat about my tariff. Thing is, mine’s fixed till 2024! Definitely a scam, so I just ended the call straight away.

They kept ringing non stop and claimed to be from EDF, but never really knew anything about the contract details when we asked. Just wanted us to verify stuff without giving clear info. Proper annoying!

Had a call from someone claiming to have info about my electricity bill. Seemed a bit off and they wanted me to change some details. Felt fishy to me!

some bloke called saying he's from opus, my energy company, but he didn’t even know my name. all my bills come to me so i’m sure they have my details. he asked if i’d got my contract papers, i said yes, then he just hung up. really felt a bit strange to me.
