Most probably it was someone pretending to be from O2. They might tell you theres a code in a text message and ask you to click it (don’t worry, you dont have to share the code with anyone, just press the link). Best thing to do is block and delete the number plus get rid of the message too.

Said she was Jenny from O2 but sounded really foreign. She said there was some amazing offer like 80% off my upcoming bill then passed me to her "billing team" for more info. I reckon she was quite new coz she just started laughing and then cut the call. Honestly, must be awful doing that all day long.

I didn’t pick up the call at first, but when I rang back, it played a message saying “Welcome to Expert Developments,” so I just put the number on my block list. Also, if you’ve got a Samsung, you can actually report the number and add a note. Then if anyone else gets the same call, their phone will warn them it might be a scam.

My elderly dad got a call from this number again today, but both times it was dead silence. I reckon they were probably in the middle of trying to scam someone else. If you or any older folks you know aren’t clued up about phone scams, I’d really suggest checking out a show on BBC iPlayer called Scam Interceptors. It used to air weekdays around 10am on BBC1. Also, if you’re on YouTube, you might want to watch scam-busting channels like Jim Browning or Scammer Payback by Pirogi - they’re brilliant at making you aware of these tricks.

Someone rang me saying they were calling from EE and offering a discount. They asked how much I spent monthly, and I said they should already know that. Then they wanted my full name! I told them I wasn't falling for any scam and, not surprisingly, they just hung up. Later, they called back from a Bucks number starting with 01280. I had a bit of fun messing around for a while before ending the call.

I missed the call but checked the number online and loads of folks are saying it’s scammers pretending to be from 02, trying to give fake discounts. Went ahead and blocked them and reported it!

Didn’t pick up as number was unknown. Looked it up here and it says likely a scam, so I’ve blocked it now.

02034045568 showed up on my missed calls and I reckon my phone is smart enough to spot when these scammers ring from various numbers. They tried to call me at 10:25. I've blocked them. Cheers!

Got a call from someone claiming there was an issue with my O2 contract, but I don’t even use O2. Definitely a scammer.

Just got a call from a woman with an Indian accent... she claimed to be from Curry's or something like that, but the moment she started talking I could tell it was dodgy, so I just said goodbye and ended the call!

It was about some O2 offer, sounded dodgy to me. Best steer clear.

100% a scam, got a call from someone with a south asian accent claiming his name was Jacob. Said something about a special promo between Currys and my phone company. I hung up as soon as they asked who my provider was. Feels really dodgy. They kept calling back so I just blocked the number.

24/04/2023. 02034045568 Landline Someone called saying they were from EE, my mobile company. I’m not with EE though, so I just ended the call.

That number rang me once more-decided to return the call, mind you. After doing a bit of sleuthing on it, I’ve come to the conclusion that it's likely just another dodgy scam going about.
