3 yearsI've noticed some fresh numbers popping up lately, but they still seem linked to the same email. Got a call from 07733924012 and 02037467921, claiming it’s some sort of upgrade and they’re requesting a security deposit. Sounds a bit dodgy if you ask me!4 yearsI received a dodgy message requesting my bank account information for a supposed holding deposit. The offer they presented was a complete fabrication - £25 a month for the PRO MAX 256? What a laugh! Absolute charlatans. Best to cut them off and move on!4 yearsThey didn't say a word and just disconnected.4 years[email protected] [email protected] These are all fraudulent schemes!4 yearsPurporting to be from Carphone Warehouse.Carphone Warehouse4 yearsI keep getting calls from the same dodgy numbers: +442038138607 and +447734075504. Definitely seems like a scam to me!4 yearsSomeone posing as a representative from Three contacted me, claiming they had an amazing deal for a Samsung S21 Ultra at just £20 a month. They were very keen on gathering all of my personal details, which raised a few red flags for me.ThreeSamsung4 yearsI’ve had a rather unsettling experience recently that I thought I’d share. They contacted me claiming to represent Carphone Warehouse. Unfortunately, they ended up dispatching the wrong handset and provider the very next day. When they requested I return it, they encountered an issue with their courier service. I insisted they provide a return label as I wasn’t keen on footing any unexpected costs. However, the label they sent was deemed nonexistent by the post office! So, I reached out to Carphone Warehouse directly, only to discover they disavowed any connection to this mess and passed the case to their fraud team. Curiously enough, I hadn’t even opened the parcel yet. Upon inspection, I discovered a SIM card from O2, so I promptly got in touch with them to explain the situation. It turned out a contract had been illegally set up in my name, which O2 has since blocked. They were quite helpful in organising the return and logging the fraud report. The address they wanted me to send the parcel back to? A residential property in Dagenham! When they called to verify that I had indeed shipped it back, I made it clear that I had already notified O2, my bank, and Carphone Warehouse about these fraudsters. They insisted they were from Currys and that everything was above board. I repeatedly stated that O2 would handle the return process and that I wouldn't bear any responsibility for their scam. I simply ended the call. What’s quite troubling is that this scam aims to tie you down to a two-year contract while they make a profit from selling the phone. So, do take care! If you receive any dubious emails, make sure to scrutinise the headers, as the email addresses often contain slight discrepancies. Mine looked like this: [email protected]. Stay vigilant!Carphone WarehouseDagenhamO2Currys4 yearsReceived a call claiming to be from EE. I asked for confirmation, as my details should be visible if they're indeed my provider. The lady said she'd send an email, coming from ‘[email protected]’. I looked it up, but found nothing. The information in her email was completely incorrect regarding my contract. When I pointed this out, she claimed it didn’t matter and insisted on my bank details to 'process' everything, promising I'd receive all the relevant information afterwards. I tried to explain that this wasn’t the usual procedure, but she became increasingly aggressive, almost yelling for my banking info at one stage. She asked some rather odd questions about how long I had been employed, my time at my residence, and details about my bank account. I realised it was too dodgy to be genuine. In the end, I hung up, ignored any further calls, and took the precaution of cancelling my card!EE. I4 yearsI received a phone call purporting to be from Three, attempting to tempt me with a p50 deal for £25 a month. Owing to my momentary lapse in judgment-I should’ve known better, given their reliance on Indian call centres-I ended up losing a hefty £150. Take heed, folks; these chaps are clever scammers masquerading as legitimate operators!4 yearsIt seems they're attempting to collect your private details.4 yearsAbsolutely, I’ve done the same!4 yearsI'm absolutely fuming! It's on this website that I shared my iPad Pro with scammers. The whole situation unfolded on the 11th of April, and I can't believe it happened.4 yearsHello! I’ve also experienced a similar situation with an iPhone 12 and 13 being sent to me. I returned them to 137 Central Park Road. If this is indeed the same location where the scam originated, it’s possible the culprits are residing or operating from there. You might want to look up when the property was last sold or rented; that information is usually just a click away online. You could even find the landowner’s details and give them a ring. Maybe say something like, "My grandmother lives nearby and is a bit unwell, so I’d like to know who’s currently living there, as I'm considering a potential rental or purchase." Once you acquire their phone number, you could reach out directly, or perhaps go over to their place, and when they answer the door, give them a call to listen for the ringtone.Central Park Road4 yearsIt appears there’s an imposter purporting to represent 3 Mobile, sending out fraudulent emails. Be wary of any communications from [email protected] smells of a scam!3 Mobile4 yearsI’ve received three calls from an Indian woman with quite a limited grasp of English, purporting to be from the EE sales team. She insisted that I should switch my SIM-only arrangement to a £6 monthly contract with unlimited data for a year. This struck me as odd, considering I’m certain that EE doesn’t provide 12-month contracts. So, I reached out to the legitimate EE sales department to verify, and they confirmed that such an offer doesn’t exist. It became clear to me that she was fishing for my personal information. Please be cautious; it’s obviously a scam. To top it off, she later claimed to represent Curry's, proposing discounted EE contracts.EECurry4 yearsDon't fall for the scam; just brush them off. It's wise not to share any personal information before confirming with multiple sources. You can always ring 333 to check!4 years020 3404 2475 - Definitely a fraudulent number!4 yearsI've come to realise it's a bit dodgy, to be honest. They seem to operate with two different numbers: one being 07446854177 and the other 02034042475. I'd strongly advise against sharing any of your personal information!4 yearsThe phone started ringing off the hook from yesterday. I picked up once and told them I wasn't keen on the proposition that others have talked about. Since then, I’ve been plagued with a staggering 14 missed calls from a myriad of different mobile numbers, plus two more from this London area code. It’s absolutely driving me up the wall!London4 yearsToday, I received a phone call from a lady named Sheetal. She was touting the same offers that others have mentioned previously. She claimed I could snag an iPhone 13 Pro Max for £27, but when I mentioned my budget was merely £20, she readily reduced the price in an instant. I was looking to secure three of these deals! Sheetal seemed quite pleased to proceed, but thankfully, I refrained from divulging any personal information, telling her I'd need to discuss it with my family and would give her a ring back tomorrow. After conducting a quick search on the number, I stumbled upon the unsettling reports others have shared. I am so relieved I avoided handing over my details! To everyone out there, please be vigilant regarding these absurd scams. Don’t ever share your card information over the phone like that! 😳😤😤Sheetal4 yearsReceived a call claiming to be from Three mobile. They were fishing for a £30 refund for setting up my direct debit, which seemed far too low, especially considering the prices of the latest handsets. Definitely a scam!4 yearsWatch out, everyone! I received a dodgy call from someone purporting to be from Three. They tried to entice me with an offer for a Samsung S22 Ultra at a mere £40 per month, but things took a turn when they requested a £29.99 ‘refundable’ deposit. Feeling suspicious, I contacted Three directly, and they had no clue about any such promotion. When they rang me back, they switched tactics, pretending to be representatives from either Curry's or Carphone Warehouse, still pushing for that deposit. Stay vigilant-never divulge your personal information over the phone!ThreeSamsungCurry ' sCarphone Warehouse4 yearsReceived a call from someone claiming to be from 3, and they were offering me an improved deal for just £9. The number in question is 07838139025.4 yearsI was promised a more advantageous plan at £9 a month while retaining my existing number, but they instead siphoned £30 from my account. To make matters worse, they sent me an iPhone 12 and a SIM card different from what I had requested. When I rang them up to complain about the mix-up, they instructed me to return the phone, assuring me they would send my desired SIM along with some AirPods. That never materialised, and now, astonishingly, there have been transactions made today in Karachi at a grocery store using my bank account. I highly advise steering clear of this company!AirPodsKarachi4 yearsYesterday, I received a rather dodgy call from a bloke claiming to be with CarPhone Warehouse, offering me the latest Samsung for only £29 monthly! It’s a complete farce and screams scam! They’ll pocket your deposit and vanish without a trace!CarPhone WarehouseSamsung4 yearsAVOID THIS NUMBER AT ALL COSTS! I fell victim to a scam that led me to divulge my banking information for two separate accounts I hold, and my mother's bank was compromised as well. The callers lured me in with a supposed offer of three iPhone Pro Max upgrades, while also claiming to throw in a pair of Apple Series 6 watches as an added bonus. They deceitfully identified themselves as representatives from Three, and because I am indeed a Three customer, I was misled into believing them. They have also contacted me from other numbers: 07988 635547 and 07985 193318, alongside the main number 020 3404 2475. Thankfully, we caught on to their ruse fairly quickly and managed to relocate our funds and shutter our bank accounts. Yet, the audacity of these scammers knows no bounds-they dared to ring me back, acting as though everything was hunky-dory. I confronted her directly, exclaiming, “Get lost, you fraudulent scammer!” to which she simply replied, “Okay, bye,” clearly aware I had seen through her act. Then they had the nerve to try their luck with my mother as well, who responded similarly, as we were both well aware of the scam! Steer clear of any of the numbers I’ve mentioned-it's simply not worth the risk!4 yearsThese folks are after every piece of your personal info! They scoop up your name, address, phone number, birth date, email, bank details like sort codes, account numbers, your long card digits, expiry date, and security codes.
