4 yearsI recently had a rather unpleasant experience with a mobile phone scammer. They posed as if they were affiliated with Currys' mobile division, luring me in with an enticing offer. However, the deal they eventually enrolled me in was utterly different and far pricier than what we had originally discussed, landing me with one of their top-tier phones. Disturbingly, they employed a variety of phone numbers, including some linked to WhatsApp, making it all the more dubious. To add to the deception, they even sent what looked like a legitimate order confirmation via email from an address attempting to appear trustworthy. But it wasn’t. Upon receiving the parcel, they attempted to persuade me to return the phone to a rather sketchy residential location.
