Got yet another call from some bloke calling himself ‘Woger’ claiming they’re handing out free personal alarms for over-50s, total con job. I’ve had these calls before - they say it’s free but they’re really just trying to push these so-called ‘free’ alarms on you.

If you want a proper one, your local council’s social services actually provide them at no cost. My dad’s got one, just like a couple of his neighbours. They even installed emergency pull cords for him in all the key rooms - bedroom, lounge, kitchen and bathroom, totally free! Anyone got the Indian word for ‘bugger off’?
