i got calls from 3 separate numbers, one from Manchester, another from London, and the last one from Northern Ireland, but all were the same bloke on the phone. never really figured out what the point of the call was - he mentioned it was some kind of opinion survey. he already had my full name, address and mobile. then he asked me for my age (79), if I owned my home (yes), if I had life insurance (no), and if I had a funeral plan (yes). quite odd if you ask me.

From there, find the ‘report a phishing attempt’ section and carefully check all the info provided. Fill out the form with as much detail as you can, like any links or website addresses you’ve seen. You don’t need to sign up or give personal details unless you’ve actually lost money. The only way for the police to track these scams properly is by reporting every single incident. Stay safe!
