I got a call from them and they insisted on talking to someone by name - it was my mum’s name. They said they wouldn’t talk to anyone else, so I told them she doesn’t live here anymore. After that, they said they couldn’t discuss anything with me and just ended the call.

I can't stress enough how much of a scam this was! It was painfully evident from the get-go. The individual on the other end spoke with a distinct Asian accent and launched into a ridiculous spiel about some supposed car accident I was involved in. They had the gall to say I could claim some insurance compensation and insisted I complete a rather dubious questionnaire about the whole affair. What a load of nonsense!

About 10 mins ago, I got a call from 02033936958. The lady on the phone claimed I'd been in a car crash. I asked who was speaking and she said she'd pass me to her manager. Then some guy with a not-so-clear accent came on, said he was with an insurance firm but I couldn’t really understand which one. I just hung up after that. Definitely sounded like a scam, so watch out!

My phone flagged the number as possibly dodgy so I just ended the call straight away.

Got a call from someone saying they were with an insurance firm, told me I’d been in an accident. They wanted all sorts of info like my address, car details and bank stuff. The person spoke English poorly and had a thick accent. Felt really dodgy to me.
