They offered a ‘free’ holiday at some timeshare place in Tenerife, but of course it’s not really free - you gotta sit through these long presentations the whole time, trying to sell you a timeshare. They found our number because we took part in a free raffle while waiting to board the plane at Tenerife airport a few weeks back.

woman claimed she was from CLC World and said I'd won a free prize draw in the UK. my missus told her to hold on while she called me over from the garden, about 30 secs later, the call ended. totally a scam, they should warn others about it. this site is really helpful for stuff like this.

Really like this site. Used it to look up a number while they were still chatting to me, pushing me towards their “rewards team” and I just said no thanks. Kinda bet they were gonna try flogging some travel insurance, for a holiday that’s never gonna happen!

I received a phone call from this number while I was at work. I decided to search the number online, but the search results didn't provide any useful information. Initially, I spoke to a lady on the call, and then I was transferred over to a reward department.

Been getting about six of these calls in just three days, each from a different number but looks like they’re all connected to the same company. They clearly don’t care about the Telephone Preference Service or GDPR, and I doubt the ICO has the manpower to sort this out. Got a call from a woman saying I’d won some sort of prize, but she kept it all vague and refused to say what it was unless I gave her some info first. She started asking stuff like how many grown-ups live at my place and how long I’ve been with my partner. I told her straight up I don’t share that kind of info in contests. She then suddenly said she had to go and just hung up. Definitely felt like a phishing attempt.

They kept ringing a lot. I usually dont pick up calls from numbers I dont reconise because if its urgent they should just drop a message. After seeing all these comments here, I'm happy I ignored it. Have blocked the number now.

CLC Holidays Scam - Beware! I recently had an encounter with CLC Holidays that turned out to be a complete scam. They boldly claimed that I had won a vacation package and only needed to cover the cost of flights. Intrigued, I went along, but they swiftly redirected me to their so-called "rewards department" - what a laugh! According to them, all it would take was a quick 5-minute phone call. Suspicious, I inquired about whether the call would incur any charges. To my surprise, the person on the other end abruptly ended the conversation and hung up on me! It's evident that this is a massive scam. It's highly likely that they are billing unsuspecting victims at premium rates for these phone calls. Beware of CLC Holidays and their deceitful tactics!

Yeah, me too. I joined one of those mystery shopper things and now I'm getting loads of annoying calls all the time. This caller said it was from CLC and that I might have won some prize. I was just like, what prize? Who even are you? I never entered any contest. She then claimed it might have been something from like a year ago. She sounded a bit nervous after that and quickly said thanks and ended the call.

Just got a call from a cheeky girl who couldn’t explain what CLC meant. She said “good news, about a questionnaire” I supposedly filled out in the last year about holidays (which is nonsense, I haven’t). Wanted me to VERIFY my info. I said I won’t confirm or deny anything until I know clearly what CLC actually is and why they’re ringing me. She just said “oh never mind, have a nice day” like we’re all mugs or summat! Had a quick search and sounds like they’re connected to helping people exit timeshare agreements or something!

The company goes by the name cic worldtravel. They’re offering a free holiday and luxury apartments supposedly. They want you to visit their London head office on Conduit Street to pick up some paperwork. I reckon it’s a timeshare pitch, they’ll probably dazzle you with sales tricks. The caller was really polite and sounded legit. After reading a few reviews, I think I’ll steer clear.

so i’m retired now and, like a proper muppet, fell for one of those mystery shopper scams. they told me i won a holiday, totally free, no strings! all i had to do was sit through some rubbish from this bloke who claimed he’d transfer me to the “award” team. yeah right, more likely i’ll win the lottery while chilling in the park with a bacon sarnie and a flat white in hand - what a load of bollocks!
