My mate down the road got a call from cic (club la costa) after going to the ideal home show. From what I’ve seen online, they invite you to a meeting where you have to take your ID, passport, and proof of earnings. That’s when they hit you with the “big pitch” and want you to pay cash straight away for a timeshare. It’s definitely not a free trip. Be careful, don’t hand over any personal details!

I received an unsolicited call claiming that I had won a holiday, despite the fact that I knew I'd never entered any competition. I was very cautious, ensuring that I didn't divulge any details that they didn’t already possess. They insisted on me travelling to London to claim my prize and pressed for a date confirmation. However, I wasn’t willing to commit at that moment, stating I needed to check with my employer regarding time off. I told them to ring me back the following day, which they readily accepted. After hanging up, I did a quick search for the number and my suspicions were sadly validated... it was nothing but a scam!

this is a total holiday timeshare con by a firm named club la costa, they ring me up daily, sometimes even twice, using different numbers after I block them. they might say you completed a survey but that wasn’t true for me and I’d never agree to any timeshares, no way.
