Received a rather alarming call claiming to be from the revenue service, stating they’d been attempting to contact me regarding a potential claim! To top it all off, it turned out to be a recorded message. Quite dodgy, if you ask me!

Just like many have mentioned previously, I've received a call purportedly from a woman claiming to be with 'hmrc,' stating that they are initiating legal action against me and instructing me to press 1 to discuss the matter with my case officer. My number isn’t even listed in the directory, so it’s quite peculiar how they got hold of it. I’ll be blocking this number, but I’m curious - who should I reach out to in order to report these nuisance calls? Cheers, Jd from South Yorkshire.

I was already aware of this particular con doing the rounds, but my heart goes out to the older folk who might get caught up in it and suffer financially. It's truly a worrying situation.

I chose not to pick up the call, but I did catch the voicemail that mentioned something about a "lawsuit filed against you, press 1 to connect with your case officer." It's clearly a dodgy scam; any legitimate organisation wouldn’t operate like this. A quick search online reveals a slew of others who've had the same experience with that number, confirming it’s a scam.

I received a jumbled voicemail claiming that HM Revenue and Customs are taking legal action against someone in my household. It didn’t specify who, which seemed quite dodgy. I attempted to ring back, but the line was either constantly engaged or simply unreachable. After seeing others’ experiences, it’s clear this is a scam. Honestly, these kinds of criminals ought to be thrown behind bars!

I've received word that HMRC is supposedly pursuing legal action against me. I'm convinced this is a fraudulent scheme, and I truly believe we need to do something about these con artists.

I gather this might be a Hrrc scan, considering what others have mentioned.

I've had a couple of calls from this number now, the latest one being from a woman claiming to represent Her Majesty's tax inspectors with an urgent message. Honestly, it’s infuriating! Who are these bothersome individuals, and how on earth did they manage to get hold of my number? It’s an ex-directory and withheld number, for goodness' sake! The folks who peddle personal information to these nuisances ought to be brought to justice. It’s utterly ridiculous!
