I've been getting calls from this number non-stop on my phone. Every time it's some new offer or service they're pushing. When I tried to find out how they got my details, they just cut me off. I told them to take my number off their list, but then they called me twice more after that. And whenever you say you don't want anything, they get really rude about it.

On 22nd April 2014 around 12:37 pm, I got a call from this number. The man said he was from a firm named Reactiv Media and told me I was due some sort of compensation for a loan I had supposedly just finished paying off. To end the chat quickly, I told him a taxi was outside waiting for me and didn’t share any personal details. He insisted he already had my email and would be in touch that way. If I get an email about this call, I’m just going to delete it as it seems dodgy to me.

Got a missed call when I was knackered from being up early, and I called back without thinking. This bloke with a northern accent asked if I was (insert my full name), and I just said yes, then he just hung up on me! Asked my phone provider and luckily, there’s no unusual charges or anything. From what I’ve heard, banks sometimes sell personal numbers, including ex-directory ones, for big money. Watch out for those ‘special deal’ websites as well - even if you don’t buy anything, just clicking on a product can send a report back that confirms your email. I had a mate who looked at a holiday online and soon after was flooded with emails from the company, clearly knowing exactly where he was thinking of going!

On Friday 28th March, I got a call from this number. Just like loads of others who’ve been caught out, they were saying I might be owed some cash - wouldn’t that be nice. I’ve had similar calls from other numbers starting with 0203, like 02031379077, does that ring a bell for anyone? They keep popping up, often offering loans. They all seem to come from the London 0203 area code. It’s definitely a scam. How they got hold of my number is a mystery, but I reckon it’s either from applying for loans, putting your CV online, or handing out your info to untrustworthy people. Be careful, only use reputable websites and never share your details unless you fully trust the source. Don’t let anyone nab your CV or phone number - remember, everything is out there on the internet nowadays.

I've had this new phone number for a while now, only shared it with close friends and family, yet I keep getting calls about some supposed PPI claim saying I’m entitled to over £2,000. Total rubbish, as I’ve never taken out anything like that. When I asked how they got my number, the bloke said it was from a “bought database.” I asked to speak to their manager, and I could overhear him chatting to someone nearby, saying something like “I've got a person asking for the manager.” Then they put me on hold without any explanation. After waiting about a minute, the line cut but I could briefly hear the office sounds, this happened a couple of times before they just hung up. Feels like Orange or EE might’ve sold my info, as call started only after I switched from O2 to Orange/EE. Next time they ring, I’m tempted to spin a load of fake stories about imaginary loans I’ve allegedly taken just to waste their time! :)

They say they're some kind of 'consumer helpline', which sounds pretty dodgy to me. I reckon they've managed to snag a list of numbers somewhere. I just got a call from some bloke called 'Kevin' claiming I’m due a refund from some payment back in 2012. I told him straight up that’s rubbish, I don’t make payments like that and never had any PPI. Asked him nicely to stop calling me and take my number off their list. Then he had the cheek to say they don’t speak to folks who swear. You can guess what I said back to that!!!

She wanted me to give my mobile number so she could check why they were ringing me. I didn’t feel comfortable and said no, then asked what their company actually does. If you happen to get a call from this number and your phone credit is empty, try to drag the call out by chatting really slowly and pretending to go along with whatever they're saying. But if you do have credit, don't pick up at all - these sneaky scammers will actually use up your credit! And whatever you do, do NOT call them back, that’s how they rip you off even more. It’s a total con. I’m itching to find out where they’re located so I can confront them personally. If anyone knows anything about where they operate from, please share. I got a call from this number today, picked up and the line just went dead. Before that, I caught noise like a busy call centre in the background. So I looked the number up online and found loads of complaints about these guys bothering people. After reading those, I decided to block the number - thanks to the other folks who shared their experiences.

I got a call from this number but I ignored it cause I never pick up if I don’t recognise who’s calling. After checking it online, I found out it’s a scam. Seems like they’re calling loads of folks. Best not to answer or call back, seriously.

What I do is tell them someone’s just come to the door and then I just put the phone down. They’re the ones spending money on the call, and they usually hang up pretty quick. Never had them ring back after that. It always does the trick.

Beware, this number is a total scam! I got a call from them today, and they asked for my full name before going on about some supposed fine and refund nonsense. They never once said their company’s name, which was a big red flag. The call ended abruptly and they never bothered to ring me back. I was tempted to call them but felt too suspicious - turns out I was right to be cautious. Right after, I checked my balance and noticed £14 had vanished without explanation! Absolutely shocking! Don’t fall for this!

They've called me like 8 times over just a couple of days, and it's really starting to get on my nerves, especially when I’m trying to deal with more important phone calls. If you’re using an iPhone, there’s a way to stop them ringing you - just hit the little ‘i’ next to the number and scroll down to find the option to block that caller. It’s helped me loads!

Got a call yesterday, so I phoned back. They said I’d paid too much but couldn’t explain what for. I ended up telling them off - definitely a dodgy scam!

Got a call from someone saying it was about an overpayment I supposedly made before 2009. They wanted me to verify my info, but I told them I wasn’t in any finance dept. They didn’t waste time after that and just ended the call. Honestly, it’s about time someone took action against these annoying calls.

Got a call from this number yesterday, and right after I said I was the person they wanted, they just hung up on me. Then today, they phoned again and started asking for my birthday, claiming I could claim PPI on some overpayment from before 2009. Thing is, I was only 17 in 2009, so I have no clue what overpayment they're talking about. Pretty sure it's a scam. I've blocked the number now and would recommend anyone else does too or just doesn't pick up.

WATCH OUT! 03001232040 is a scam number. They called me pretending to have some money to give me but asked for my bank info - total rubbish. Make sure you report these scammers to Action Fraud, they are trying to con people out of their cash.

Got two calls I missed less than five minutes apart. First was this number, then 02033756313. I didn’t bother ringing back, thought I’d look them up here beforehand.

This number kept ringing me loads while I was at work, but I couldn’t pick up 'cos we aren't allowed to have phones out. They called me around five times within an hour or so. When I finally called back after work, some bloke with what sounded like a Middle Eastern accent answered. He started asking for my personal info, but I wasn’t about to give anything away without knowing what this was about. He got a bit rude, going on about how he couldn’t explain without my details. Then he muttered something I couldn’t catch and hung up abruptly. Seems like one of those offline phishing scams for sure. What’s most annoying is these calls prove that companies must still be illegally selling or sharing our info, even though UK laws are supposed to stop that without our consent. And of course, we never get to find out who they really are!
