Received a call from this number, but they hung up abruptly. When I attempted to return the call, a woman picked up and just greeted me. I declined to provide any personal details and promptly ended the conversation.

On 23rd April at around 09:05, I received a call on my mobile from this number. Luckily, I wasn't able to answer it, and I’m rather pleased I took the precaution of looking up the number before returning the call. It's clearly a scam!

I’ve been getting persistent calls from this number on my mobile, and it’s always a new service they’re peddling. I tried to find out how they came by my number, but they just cut me off! The last time, I even requested they delete my number from their records, yet I received another two calls after that. Honestly, the folks on the other end become quite irate if you tell them you're not keen on their offers. What a nuisance!

I got a phone call from this number at 12:37 pm on the 22nd of April, 2014. The person on the line claimed to be representing a firm named Reactiv Media. He mentioned that, according to their records, I was due some kind of compensation related to a loan I had recently settled. To hasten the end of the conversation, I fabricated a story about a taxi waiting for me - I refrained from sharing any personal details. He insisted he had my email address saved in his system and would reach out to me through that channel. Should I receive an email referencing our chat, it’s getting tossed straight into the bin, as I suspect it’s nothing but a scam.

I just had a missed call from some number, and I was feeling knackered after an early start, so I decided to call back. When I did, the person on the other end asked if they were speaking to (insert my full name). In a moment of folly, I said yes and then they promptly hung up! The bloke had a proper northern accent. Thankfully, my phone provider confirmed there's no extra charge, which is a relief! I'm absolutely fuming, though - I usually pride myself on being clued up!

I'm well aware that our personal home and mobile numbers, even those off the radar, get traded by banks for quite a pretty penny. It's wise to be cautious of those so-called 'exclusive deal' websites; even if you don’t buy a thing, just clicking on a product can trigger a report that verifies your email address. The other day, I was browsing for a holiday and suddenly found myself inundated with messages from the company, clearly aware of my destination of interest!

These individuals seem to function under the name 'consumer helpline', which strikes me as rather suspicious. It’s evident that they’ve managed to access some sort of database. After receiving ten bothersome calls from them, I decided to ring them back and requested that my number be taken off their list. The last conversation I had ended with the bloke abruptly hanging up on me!

Received a call on my mobile earlier today from a bloke named 'Kevin' representing this firm. He claimed that I'm due some cash from a transaction back in 2012. I promptly informed him that this was utter nonsense, as I've never made such payments nor have I ever taken out PPI. I insisted he remove my number from his list and stop with the nonsense. To my astonishment, he replied that his company doesn't engage with individuals who use foul language. I think you can guess my reaction to that!

I’ve been receiving calls from this number aimed at my 12-year-old son while he’s at school. Thankfully, he isn’t permitted to have his phone switched on during lessons, so he hasn’t picked it up. What measures can we take to put an end to this?

In addition to the PPI, they barely possess any information apart from your name and your contact number. The first time they called me, they claimed I was entitled to wipe off a whopping 75% of my debts. I explained that I was bankrupt and had no debts to speak of. It seems they didn’t believe me, as they persist in calling me repeatedly.

This number seems to ring me at all sorts of hours without fail. A few times I've actually picked up, only for the line to go silent immediately. It’s quite baffling, really!

I received a call on my mobile, a number I've barely had for a few months. The caller claimed I had taken out a loan previously and had been conned into paying for some kind of protection insurance. I couldn't help but chuckle, as my credit score is in such disarray that I haven't even sought credit in the last decade! I told them they were talking nonsense and accused them of being information thieves. I pressed them on how they obtained my number, since I’ve kept it private and only just got it. I made it clear I'd be reporting them to the authorities, convinced they were nothing but scammers. Oddly enough, they hung up rather quickly and I haven't heard a peep from them since.

They didn’t pick up. It’s the first time I’ve experienced this number calling me. But when they do happen to ring me again, I plan to set up a recording on my mobile. For every minute they keep me chatting, I reckon I should be compensated ten quid!

Just like many others, I received a rather dubious call on my mobile from a chap insisting that I was entitled to a substantial sum due to some missold PPI (which is utterly baffling as I’ve never had any loans). I promptly ended the call, but it does make me curious as to how he managed to obtain my details!
12 years
I’ve received several calls from this number, and today I finally picked up. A woman claimed to be from a finance firm-she didn’t mention which one-and insisted that I was due a substantial sum of money due to an overpayment on a loan I supposedly took out before 2009. I told her I couldn’t remember ever having a loan, and she abruptly said she must have the wrong info before hanging up! This seems like a classic PPI scam, so I’d advise anyone to be extremely careful with any calls from this number.

The most effective approach is to interrupt them mid-flow and politely express your disinterest. By letting them know that you prefer not to waste your own time or theirs, you can then choose to terminate the call. It seems this tactic puts an end to calls from these types of firms quite effectively!

I received a call from a woman claiming to be someone I didn’t recognise. When I answered, she asked for someone by name-my name, no less! I replied that it was me, and then, to my surprise, she just cut the call. After about twenty minutes, I decided to call back, and a man answered. I explained that a call had come through from that number, but I had no clue who it was. Without another word, he hung up on me too. What on earth is going on? How did she even know my name and number? It's quite baffling! 😟

I recently received a phone call from a woman using this number, who claimed that according to her records, I'm owed some cash from a loan taken out sometime between 2002 and 2009. She mentioned she would consult her supervisor and get back to me.

Does anyone know how I can stop these types of calls from reaching my mobile?

I received a call from a firm named Consumer Help Line. When I rang them back on my landline, I was greeted by a lady named Carol. She requested my mobile number so that she could check the reason for their outreach. I opted not to provide it and inquired about their services. Turns out, they specialise in matters relating to home, car, and various other insurance policies.

This number keeps pestering me, but the calls never last long enough for me to pick up. Until today, that is. A bloke wanted to chat about my credit history. Such rubbish! I asked how they obtained my information, and he claimed it was from the electoral roll. That’s completely false, as I've only just shifted house and haven’t registered my details yet. Plus, I've only shared my mobile number with family. He went on about being associated with the FTA or some such thing. Honestly, if your phone buzzes but you can’t answer in time... don’t even think about returning the call. Just block the number and save yourself the hassle. Total sharks!

Received a call on my mobile just now. Only three individuals have my number, so I suspected straight away it was a scam. They were trying to hassle me for cash! I received a missed call earlier today, followed by another that I decided to pick up. On the line was a gentleman who was quite adamant about helping me claim some funds, apparently from loan overpayments dating back before 2009. The other day, I received a call from someone claiming they were offering refunds to individuals who had been mis-sold PPI. Quite oddly, I’ve never had a loan or credit card in my life! When I pointed this out to the caller, he assured me he’d take me off their list. Quite frankly, it felt like a right bother if you ask me. Do yourself a favour and steer clear of these calls!

I received a rather unsettling call from this number earlier. The caller claimed to be from some 'consumer assistance service' and was keen to discuss a refund related to overpaid finance. It took a strange turn when they inquired if I had any financial dealings prior to 2010, to which I replied in the negative. Upon hearing my response, they simply apologised and ended the call abruptly. What really unnerved me was the fact that they already knew my name! I've since taken the precaution of blocking their number. It certainly seems like a potential scam to me.

If you happen to strike up a chat with the person on the line, why not throw them a cheeky question about whether they’re into, shall we say, unconventional pursuits? Their response is bound to be rather entertaining!

I received a call claiming to be from Customer Finance, insisting that I had been overcharged on a loan and was eligible for a refund. They then proceeded to inquire about my current address and whether I had any car loans predating 2010. When I informed them that I don’t have a car or any loans to my name, they suddenly laughed and hung up on me. Quite peculiar, I must say!

I just had a call from this number, but I’m wary of picking up calls from unfamiliar ones. It didn't leave a voicemail, which I thought was odd, though I did get a text notifying me about the missed call. The number in the message read: "You've missed a call from...+441422373222." Quite puzzling, if you ask me!

I received a call on my mobile from this number today. When I picked up, I was greeted with an automated message that said they were connecting me, but then the line went dead. I did a little digging on Google and discovered that it's quite a notorious number; if you try to ring it back, it turns out to be a premium rate line. Quite dodgy, if you ask me!

I just received a call on my mobile from yet another so-called 'Consumer Group' concerning PPI refunds. I've absolutely no clue how they managed to get hold of my number!

I received two calls from this number, and on the second ring, I picked up. A lady on the other end claimed to be from 'Customer Finance' or something similar, informing me that I had overpaid on a loan and they were prepared to refund me. The thing is, I've never borrowed any money in my life, so I told her that, and she said, 'Oh, my apologies for the inconvenience,' before promptly hanging up. What struck me as rather odd was that she knew my name!

I received a call from this number, but there was absolutely nobody on the line - such a jolly nuisance!

Yesterday, this number called me twice - once at half one and again at twenty to six. I’ve no clue who it is since I didn’t pick up. If they decide to ring again today, they can forget it - I won’t be responding. It's a bit unsettling, though, as I’ve no idea how they got hold of my number; I’m careful about sharing it! 😟

Yet another number to file away as 'do not engage' in my contacts! I received two calls today, and I picked up on the second one, only to be met with silence. After a few attempts at saying hello, they simply disconnected. It’s got me a bit anxious, to be honest. My phone is on a contract, so I'm worried-could they possibly rack up charges to my account just because I answered, even if I didn’t return their call? 😟

Listen up, if you happen to receive a call from this particular number and your phone is running low on balance, keep them talking for as long as you can and drag out the conversation. Just make sure to speak at a leisurely pace. However, if you've got some credit on your phone, steer clear of answering, as these sneaky blighters will chew through it quicker than you think! It’s all a ruse to try and get your money - let them foot the bill instead! And whatever you do, don’t call them back; that’s just how they pocket even more of your cash! It’s entirely a scam, and I'm keen to find out where they’re operating from so I could pay them a little visit and give one of them a piece of my mind. If anyone has a clue about where they’re located, do share the intel with the rest of us, please. They also have a way of nabbing your personal details from your email!

I received a call from them earlier today, and just as I picked up, they abruptly ended the call. However, I could distinctly hear what seemed to be the noise of a bustling call centre in the background. This piqued my curiosity, so I decided to look up the number, only to uncover numerous complaints from others about their harassing behaviour. Following the helpful suggestions from fellow users, I've now added them to my blocked list.

I received a call from this number, but as soon as I picked up, the line went dead. I really appreciate the insights provided here, especially since I'm on the job hunt and might have dialled them back if I hadn’t seen this. Big thanks to everyone who shares their experiences with these callers!

I just got a call from this number, but I didn't pick up since I don't recognise it. After doing a bit of digging, I found out it's linked to a scam, which is quite alarming. It seems like they're trying to reach out to loads of folks. Please, avoid answering or returning their call!

Simply mention that there’s a visitor at the door, then set your phone aside. They’re footing the bill for the call and typically hang up pretty quickly. I’ve not encountered them again since. It’s a reliable tactic every time!

What a load of nonsense! If you get a call from this number, do yourself a favour and just hang up! They rang me today, spouting some nonsense about a fine and a refund, and they even had the cheek to confirm my full name. Total red flag! Not once did they mention the name of their company, and when the call dropped, they didn't bother to ring me back. I nearly called them again but had a nagging feeling they were one of those dodgy lines that fleece you for a fortune. Sure enough, when I tried to make another call, I discovered they'd snatched £14 from my account without a second thought! This is utterly absurd!

I've received calls from this number a staggering eight times over just two days, and it’s becoming rather bothersome, especially when I've got more pressing calls to take. For those with an iPhone, there's a handy feature to block these persistent nuisances. Simply tap the 'i' icon next to the phone number, and you’ll find the option to block this caller at the bottom of the screen.

Received a call from this number yesterday. When I returned the call, they claimed I had overpaid for something. When I pressed them for details, they were utterly clueless. Suffice to say, I told them where to stick it! Definitely feels like a dodgy scheme to me!

I received a rather peculiar call from a person claiming they were following up on an overpayment I supposedly made before 2009. They requested I verify some personal information. When I mentioned that I wasn't dealing with any financial matters, the caller abruptly said farewell and disconnected. It's high time someone took action against these irritating calls!

Received a call yesterday, and as soon as I verified my identity, the line went dead. They rang me again today, this time insisting on my date of birth, claiming I’m due a refund for some PPI overpayment from prior to 2009. The thing is, I was only 17 back then, so I can't fathom what overpayment they’re on about. It's clearly a dodgy scheme. I've since blocked the number, and I'd highly recommend that others do the same, or simply disregard the calls altogether!

REPORT THIS SCAMMER! That number 03001232040 needs to be flagged - they’ll give you a bell, claiming they've got cash waiting for you, and then start probing for your bank information. It's all a ruse! Don’t fall for it; these chaps are nothing but fraudsters trying to fleece unsuspecting victims.

I received a rather persistent call from this number while I was at my workplace - you know how it is, no phones allowed, so I couldn’t pick up. They rang me a staggering FIVE times within less than an hour! Once I was done with my shift, I decided to return the call to see what all the fuss was about. A rather rude gentleman with a thick Middle-Eastern accent answered. He started asking for my personal information, but I wasn’t about to divulge anything without understanding the purpose of the call first. He became quite aggressive, exclaiming, “How can I tell you anything without your details!” followed by some incomprehensible gibberish before abruptly hanging up. I’m quite convinced this is a blatant phishing attempt. What truly concerns me about these sorts of calls is the blatant way companies seem to hand over our information without consent - that's entirely illegal under UK law, which is supposed to safeguard us but, clearly, doesn’t prevent such practices.

This lot are definitely dodgy! They’ll rattle off a load of details in the hopes that something sticks, and if it doesn't go their way, they simply cut the call. Quite the con, if you ask me!
