A mate of mine passed me this number to sort out our Covid tests for our flight to Greece, saying it was linked to Jet2Holidays. I’m feeling pretty uneasy now because the bloke on the phone had a thick Indian accent, and I struggled to catch everything he said. We’ve coughed up £250 for three Covid tests, and apparently, someone’s supposed to show up at our place on Friday 3rd September, just a couple days before we fly 😰😰😰. The payment confirmation email looked a bit dodgy too 🤨🤨🤨. I really hope I haven’t been taken for a fool! 😡

I got a voicemail from a bloke speaking with a pretty strong Indian accent. He was quite polite, saying if I believed I owed any money to Scottish Power or had any problems, I should ring this number. He kept mentioning some kind of ‘triple discount’ deal? Obviously a scam. I’m sure if I rang back, they’d try to get my bank info or something dodgy like that. So I just nicely ignored it and didn’t bother calling them.

Got a call that felt like spam - the moment I picked up, they just ended it. My mum got the same one! Probably some call centre in India or somewhere, not too sure.

I got a phone call from a guy whose English wasn’t very good, and he was trying to pitch some deals that sounded too good to be true. I told him I wasn’t interested in what he was selling and hung up straight away. After that, I blocked the number so I wouldn’t get any more calls from him.

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent saying he was Mathew from Scottish Power, offering great deals on electricity and said they had a contracts team that could help with anything. I just declined and ended the call. These calls are driving me mad, I probably get about three or four every single day nowadays!

Just got a call from this number and the bloke kept saying some really rude stuff over and over, like he was trying to insult me. I told him off pretty firmly and hung up straight away. Really weird and rude behaviour.

Some bloke from India rang up asking for the Utilities Manager. I explained we’re on the TPS list, and he just goes, “What can you do about that?” I said I’d report his number for bothering us, but he was pretty cheeky, so I ended the call quickly!

Some bloke with an Indian accent called saying he was from Scottish Power, wanting a chat about business electricity. I told him I’m not a business, he probably hasn’t even got the right address, and I’m on the TPS so he really shouldn’t be calling. I ended the call before he could argue. Definitely adding that number to my block list.

Some bloke with an Indian accent said he was from Scottish Power, talking about amazing deals for us. The line was crackly as hell, full of static, but weirdly there was no background chatter at all - felt off because you'd expect a bunch of people yakking in a call centre. He even said I’d be daft not to grab the offer. I just told him nicely to stick his deal where the sun don’t shine, calling him a right muppet. Then he hit back calling me names and told me to go do things with goats or some animals. Absolutely love winding up these scamming tossers!

Right away I found it fishy that someone from a London area code was ringing a small firm in Shropshire. Then he wanted to speak to the owner, which made me think it was probably a random cold call. When I asked him when the owner would be free, I just told him 10pm. He said he’d ring back then, so I said fine. Now I’ve blocked the number.

this bloke rang me up with a strong Indian accent, saying his name was Michael. I told him he wasn’t michael and asked for his actual name. he said james first, but when i said that wasn’t right, he switched to saying kieran. i hung up on him straight away, but he rang back right after. i picked up and told him not to call again and hung up again. he tried ringing me back straight away three more times after that. finally, i called someone else on another phone so he got a busy signal and stopped.

I received a phone call from a chap with a thick foreign accent, who asserted he was representing the nation's leading water supply authority. When I requested more details, he merely reiterated his initial statement. I had no clue as to his actual intentions, so I informed him that such an organisation did not exist and urged him to hang up, as he was simply frittering away my precious time.
