Total scam alert! This guy said his name was Mike but you could tell from his accent he was speaking Hindi to someone else. Later I rang him back on the direct number 020 3371 9581, only to find out it’s a known scam line. I actually found his “real” number on a dodgy scam site that had copied info from Genius Travel’s website. Thankfully my bank caught the fraud in time. Seriously, don’t trust this number and block it straight away!

Be careful, these lot are total scammers. Some bloke called Mike rang me, claiming to be from Love Holidays. He gave me a price way lower than the other places I checked. Lucky for me, my bank didn’t accept the payment when I tried to book with them.

Be careful, these guys are total scammers. Some bloke called Mike rang me pretending to be from Love Holidays and offered a price way less than anywhere else. Thankfully, my bank blocked the payment when I tried to pay, otherwise I’d have been done for!

I got a call from someone who said his name was Mike, trying to rush me into buying flight tickets to India. He said the price was about £120 cheaper than what I found on usual booking sites. Later, I received an email that looked really dodgy, like it was just a sloppy copy-paste pretending to be from mytrip. When I questioned him about it, he just ended the call straight away. Definitely a scammer, avoid this number at all costs.

Someone called herself Rebecca and claimed to sell holiday deals to Tenerife. She took £1400 from my bank and sent me what looked like booking details, but they turned out to be fake. When I looked at my statement, the money had gone in two separate payments to BKG booking. Com and love holidays. Once I figured out it was a scam, I asked for my money back. She emailed saying the refund was sorted and I’d get the cash back within 14 days. It’s been over two weeks now and she’s stopped picking up my calls or replying to emails.

I encountered a rather dubious situation where some characters were masquerading as travel agents, clearly aiming to fleece unsuspecting victims. I embarked on a search for Love Holidays’ contact number, and this rather questionable number popped up, prompting me to give them a ring. However, during the conversation, something felt amiss, so I quickly sought out an alternative number. The lovely lady I finally reached at Love Holidays revealed that this scam has plagued many others, with these fraudsters having swindled quite a few individuals. Luckily, I managed to connect the dots before I fell into their trap, but I worry that not everyone may be so fortunate.

About five days back we sorted a holiday and dropped £900 on it, but now Jet 2 are saying it’s a con. Tried ringing them a bunch but no luck getting through. Proper pissed off since we’d been scrimping and saving for ages, can’t really swing another trip right now.

Beware of this flight booking con! You’ll fork out your cash only to discover that the reference number won’t register on the airline’s official site. They'll promise to sort it out 48 hours before departure, but when that time comes, it’ll still be inactive. Just a day before you’re meant to fly, they’ll drop the bombshell that your flight’s either cancelled or been rescheduled, attempting to extort even more money from you or offer a refund. Yet, when you choose the refund option, they’ll send you a phoney confirmation email, but don’t hold your breath waiting for the money to actually appear. Only engage with these dodgy individuals if you’re keen on waving goodbye to your hard-earned cash!

Avoid these scammers! I forked out over £1,000 for a plane ticket and only found out it was “cancelled or moved” when I rang them the day before my journey. They said I could either cough up an extra £400 to catch the next flight or wait a week for a refund. It’s now been almost three weeks and they ignore my calls, claiming they’ve got no trace of my refund or booking. Total rip-off. Seriously, don’t hand over your cash or you’ll regret it.
