I received a rather peculiar call the other day. The conversation started innocuously enough with a girl saying hello, which I reciprocated. Then, in a rather strange twist, a chap joined in the greeting from the other end after we hung up. We thought nothing of it initially, but when we tried to pick up the phone again, it was another bloke saying hi. It seemed as if they couldn’t pick up on our end at all! I’ve checked our phone, and it’s in fine working order. My gut tells me this might just be one of those overseas call centres trying their luck.

I've been getting missed calls from this number for about a month now. The only thing we know is that it's linked to COS since our phone keeps flashing and showing missed calls when we look it up. Even tried 1471, but no luck. Does anyone have any idea who might be behind this?

Strange situation, this one. The number simply doesn't appear on our caller ID, and when we try to check with 1471, it responds with 'We don’t have the calling number.' Yet, lo and behold, it pops up in our missed calls register. We never entertain calls from withheld numbers, so we haven't the foggiest who might be trying to reach us. Quite an annoyance, really!

I received a call the other day, and there was this lady on the line. We exchanged hellos, her responding to mine quite pleasantly. After a brief chat, we ended the call, but when I picked up again shortly after, it was a bit odd - people just kept saying "hello."
