Got this message out of the blue, stating it’s from Nationwide but I’m not even a customer with them. Message said: NATIONWIDE: We received a call from you and sent a one time passcode - 854777. If you didn’t request this, ring us on 02033707343. Looks like a scam to me.

Got a dodgy message pretending to be from Nationwide, but I dont even have an account there. The text had a mobile number to ring back, so I tried it and it just went straight to a Giffgaff voicemail. That’s the same number they wanted me to call. Total scam, watch out!

On 16th April 2024 at half past two, I got a message from the number 07752 680977 saying, "NATIONWIDE: You rang us earlier and we sent you a one-off passcode. Your code is [blah blah]. If this wasn’t you, please reach out to us at 02033707343." Quite odd, really!
