It really came across like some kind of bot, asking me loads of questions that had to be a "yes" so they could maybe use my voice for scams. I don’t just say yes, I throw in things like "maybe" or "I’m not sure" instead. They didn’t hang around long and ended the call quite fast.

I saw that the call was flagged as a possible scam, so I didn’t answer it.

Does anyone know if 020 3370 2741 is a scam call? Just got a ring from this number and it seemed a bit suspicious. Anyone had any experience with it?

Just like others said, I got hit by a scary scam on my computer. It froze my PC and a voice told me not to switch it off but to call this landline number 02033702741. I looked up the number here on my tablet and saw straight away it was dodgy. Weird thing was the big power button on the PC did nothing, but the little restart button actually worked fine.

My computer was stuck on several screens and I couldn’t do anything. There was a voice saying not to log out or the PC would crash, which freaked me out. I looked up the number and found a really useful tip from someone else about getting out of this. I hit ctrl-alt-del, opened task manager and logged off from there. After logging back in, everything appeared fine. Still, I’m planning to do a full security scan just to be safe.

While I was working on my laptop, a bunch of pop-ups suddenly showed up telling me to call the Microsoft support line. The message said if I turned off my computer, I’d lose everything. Freaking out, I rang the number they gave, but the person on the other end didn’t even say who they were, just started asking weird questions about what I was doing. Luckily, my other half spotted that it was fishy and told me to hang up. Then, not long after, I got a couple of calls from a number I didn’t recognise. Pretty dodgy all round.

I just got a pop-up on my screen saying my Windows account was infected with like 197 trojans and had been locked. The message told me to call this number 02033702741 and speak to some engineer guy called Dave who’d help me get my account back. But then it said it would cost me £150. Felt a bit dodgy if you ask me.

While I was working on my laptop, loads of warning screens suddenly popped up telling me to ring the Microsoft support line. The message cautioned me against turning off the computer, saying I’d lose all my info if I did. In a bit of a fluster, I phoned the number, and to my surprise, the person on the end didn’t even say who they were - just asked what I was doing on the computer. Luckily, my partner quickly spotted that it felt off and told me to hang up. To top it off, soon after, my phone got two calls from a number I didn’t recognise.

Just had a really dodgy message pop up on my laptop - said it was infected with some nasty malware and told me to ring 02033702741. The screen wouldn’t clear at all. It showed what looked like Windows and Norton logos but something about it was off. I ended up googling the number and found loads of warnings from others. Had to do a hard shutdown, rebooted, ran Norton and thankfully it seems fine now.

My laptop froze up because of some nasty trojan and then this message popped up telling me to ring this number for “Windows help.” Took me a minute, but I didn’t let them get into my machine. I got curious and looked the number up on here, and well, I’m really pleased I did!

I picked up the phone and all I could hear was loads of noise in the background, like from an office or something. No one actually said anything, so I just hung up. Sounds like another one of those scams to me. I blocked the number, but they keep ringing from different ones.
