They was talking about bitcoin trading and asked me to join their online trading site. This sort of thing is a usual scam - don’t get caught out! Just watch out!

If folks just ignored cold callers, they’d probably give up quick. But since some do answer, they think it’s worth the effort. I personally don’t bother with them and any firm that calls out of the blue or sends me junk mail, I make sure to avoid using their services. I’ve done this plenty of times.

My mobile rang from this number but I didn’t pick up straight away as it was on silent. When I checked the voicemail later, it was really strange and a bit unsettling. There was lots of quiet mumbling I couldn’t make out, then it ended with a loud and creepy “Rarrrr” which honestly gave me the heebie-jeebies. Glad to see I’m not the only one dealing with this number, made me feel a bit better knowing it’s not something aimed at me specifically - I was starting to get a bit anxious about that.

Someone rang me up claiming to be from the local Liberal Democrats here in Cardiff, doing a survey. Not sure where they got hold of my phone number from. I thought it sounded legit, so I answered a few questions. They asked me three things about my intended vote and also how I voted in the Brexit referendum.

Got a call out of the blue where the bloke said my first name and claimed to be with the Scottish Liberal Party. I’m sure they didn’t have my number to begin with, which made me a bit uneasy. The guy spoke slowly and very clearly. I told him I don’t talk about stuff like this over the phone and then I ended the call.
