Received a call at my workplace today regarding a mishap I was involved in. They had my name, yet insisted on confirming its spelling for data protection reasons. So, I decided to juggle the letters around a bit when I told them. They claimed the name aligned with their documents. I firmly stated, "Do not ever ring me again; you possess nothing but my phone number. If I hear from you once more, I won’t hesitate to inform the authorities!" Then, I swiftly hung up and marked the number as blocked.

I’ve been receiving persistent calls on behalf of my elderly father from this number, asking for an individual who doesn’t reside with us. When I took it upon myself to ring them back to voice my frustration, the chap I spoke to was appallingly disrespectful and claimed to represent APPLIANCE CARE. When I probed for more information about their identity, he refused to clarify and promptly ended the call. I've now added this number to the block list on my father’s phone. It's an absolute scam!

I can confidently assert that I’ve never had plumbing insurance or processed such a payment. He made no efforts to encourage me to provide my Visa details to renew this fictitious policy. Exercise caution with this caller; they are quite believable and seem to be fishing for your card information.
