I received a call today, but it was from a different group than the lady who had been calling me almost every day for the past three weeks. They had also been calling my husband's phone to obtain information about me. Today's call seemed to come from an Indian call centre. A young lady spoke first, followed by a supervisor who was a man. He refused to provide his name and was providing incorrect information regarding my eligibility for benefits. It seemed that he was trying to pry information from me regarding whether I had young children. I informed him that I would need to verify his legitimacy, which angered him and led me to threaten calling the police. I followed through with my threat and have lodged a complaint. The guy promptly hung up as soon as I mentioned calling the police. It is important not to disclose any personal information in situations like these, as they are likely scams.
