2 yearsSomeone rang me saying they were from Dogs Trust, asking if I owned a dog and then going on about the charity. After that, they wanted my bank sort code and account number to set up a £1 monthly donation. I’m now speaking to the real Dogs Trust to report this. If it really was them, it seems like a poor way to go about it. There’s no real way to verify who’s calling over the phone. If you want to give to Dogs Trust, honestly, just use their official website - I’ve just done that myself. If it’s a con, it’s awful to prey on people’s kindness. It left me feeling pretty uneasy.Dogs Trust3 yearsI got a call from 02033438042 which turned out to be from Dogs Trust. They aren’t trying to scam anyone or anything dodgy like that. They were just seeing if I’d like to help out, no pressure or anything. They asked if I could spare a quid a week, which is just about 4 quid a month. They only ring you if someone’s already been to your door asking for help first. Pretty chill and legit.Dogs Trust3 yearsThis number rings me a couple times daily. I’m a monthly donor to the Dogs Trust and I’ve shot them an email with a link to this site to show how fed up folks are with these calls. I reckon it’s probably some scammer pretending to be them by faking their caller ID.Dog ' s Trust3 yearsRight, so these guys kept bugging me at Comic Con, basically trapping me into giving them more cash. Feels like they’re playing on your sympathy or something, like dogs just trusting everyone or whatever. Proper annoying.Canine3 yearsSome person called me saying it was from Dogs Trust, but I’m not so sure about it. I’d be careful with that phone number, looks a bit dodgy. ####Dogs Trust3 yearsGot hassled loads of times, about six or more, by some dodgy calls asking for cash after I got bugged at a comic-con.
