Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent saying I was due a refund for paying too much on my appliance protection insurance. She said the documents would be sent by post. Then she handed me over to another woman, also speaking with an Indian accent, who kept trying to con me and was definitely fishing for my bank info. Total scam!

I had a voicemail from this number but only caught the last few words which said something about a "visa card". That made me suspicious it was a scam. After checking this site, I’m sure it’s dodgy, so I’ve gone ahead and blocked it. Cheers for having this useful info available!

I ended up disconnecting the call once more! Earlier today, I got that same old story about an overseas transaction on my bank card - absolutely fed up with hearing that one. But the latest call was something different. I actually purchased train tickets from Euston to Edinburgh recently.

Got a call saying my credit card was used to buy a train ticket from St Pancras - if it wasn’t me, press 1 and so on. Total scam, clearly. If you’re unsure, don’t press any buttons just end the call and block the number straight away.

I got two calls from this number today. The first time I answered, there was just a click and then dead silence while I repeated my number, but then the dial tone popped back after a bit. The second call was just silent all the way through, no clicks or anything, so after about half a minute I decided to hang up. Looking up the number here made me think it’s probably some kind of automated scam dialling centre with no one on the other end when it tries to reach you.

Got a robocall pretending to be from HMRC enforcement. Just ended the call straight away.

Received a dodgy call supposedly from HMRC, claiming there'd be legal repercussions and insisting that I 'press 1' to be connected with an agent. What a load of nonsense!

The individual on the other end claimed to represent "Consumer Choices." I ended the call immediately.

I didn’t pick up when the call came through, but folks online are saying it could be dodgy, like a scam or something.

This number rang me claiming to be from consumer choices. I didn’t bother, just ended the call. Sounds like a scam to me.
