Got a call from someone saying I’m owed cash for an accident in the past 18 months. They couldn’t provide any specifics like when it supposedly happened or the car reg. I haven’t had any accidents recently so I asked them to send me the info by post and they just cut me off.

Total scam alert. They rang me outta nowhere with no info, asking for personal details to “verify” who I am - they have no clue. Weird but after looking into it, sounds like a classic phishing attempt to snag your info. They don’t know a thing about you, so don’t hand over anything, not even your name.

Im currently dealing with a court case after an accident and at first I thought these calls were related. But I got suspicious when they couldn’t get my postcode right and had no idea who my insurance was with. I looked up the number and it seems to be a scam. They never let me get a word in and got really annoyed and rude when I interrupted to say they should ring back once they had the right info, or just stop calling me.

Got a call from some place called EMS sayin I’d been in an accident. The bloke had a terrible Aussie or maybe Asian accent, hard to understand. I haven’t been in any accident, pretty sure I’d remember if I was! He kept going on, but I just hung up and blocked the dodgy number straight away. Total scam if you ask me!
