Got a call from a bloke called John, said he was from some driveway company and asked if I still had a driveway at my place. Bit weird since I live in a flat and obviously no driveway here. Even if I lived in a house, dunno what he expected, like maybe I’d sold it or something? Seems like they’ve no clue about the kind of house people actually have. Ended the call pretty quick, had a bad feeling it was a scam. I’m signed up with the TPS too so they really shouldn’t be ringing me up. At that point, I promptly concluded the conversation. Interestingly, there is a proper outfit by that name based in Blandford Forum, which is an awfully long trek from my location. Judging by their Google reviews, it seems they are quite negatively impacted by this imposter misappropriating their name. It’s essentially someone masquerading as a legitimate business and attempting to extract information about your property. This sort of thing is bound to spell trouble for any unsuspecting homeowner who falls for it!

Received two calls within a span of four days from a chap who was under the impression that we had benefitted from the government’s environmental scheme for fiberglass loft insulation. I informed him that we don’t possess a loft, to which he replied with a polite thank you and promptly hung up.
