Got a call on my landline from some bloke who could chatter the hind legs off a donkey. I had to cut him off halfway through when he started rambling about something called The Driveway Centre. I told him I don’t have a driveway, just a bit of garden!

Got a call about loft insulation from some seller, never mentioned a company name. Each caller claimed to be a local energy advisor, but I firmly told them I wasn't interested and requested they cease their calls after the first two. On the third, I was met with some rather colourful language in German, which I chose to ignore to avoid swearing in front of my daughter. It was the same voice on all three occasions, suggesting it was a pre-recorded message following a set script, occasionally feigning an acknowledgement.
