Got a call on my landline from some bloke who could chatter the hind legs off a donkey. I had to cut him off halfway through when he started rambling about something called The Driveway Centre. I told him I don’t have a driveway, just a bit of garden!

Got a call about loft insulation from some seller, never mentioned a company name. At first, their recorded message seemed pretty real, but when I asked normal questions, they just couldn’t respond properly. When I directly asked if they were a real person, they flat out said no they weren’t a bot, which was a bit suspicious.

Within just one hour, I got three calls from numbers starting with 02033 - specifically 369105, 369093, and 369095 - all saying they were from a local energy adviser. I told them right away I wasn’t interested and asked them not to ring me again. On the first couple of calls, I heard swear words in German, which I didn’t catch fully (didn’t want to repeat any bad language near my daughter). I didn’t answer any questions, and it was the same voice every time, like a recorded message reading from a script, sometimes pretending to listen. I’ve reported them to the TPS and blocked the entire number series on my phone now.
